This came across my facebook feed. Braeuhaus Melkendorf announces a tapping of their first beer, "Golden Brown" on June 2. It looks like the location previously housed the Brauerei-Winkler-Melkendorf. Maybe someone on the forum can shed some light on this "new" brewery in the Bamberg area. I can't be sure about this, and I don't know if it's even helpful, I guess it's not, but I think I met two of those guys at a brewery one afternoon in Bamberg in September. The two younger guys in the picture. They were really proud and excited. They told me they had just come up with a second beer and would be opening soon. I can't imagine there are too many new breweries opening in Bamberg so it must have been them. Nice guys.
