Anyone else read the modern times email? Monster Tones on tap at 3pm!!!

 

New to DLD this year. How dominant are stouts throughout the festival vs. sours, IPAs, etc? Are most guest brewers also serving mostly stouts? Does 3F pour other things outside of what’s on the newly released tap list?

Just curious.

There were plenty of non-stouts on tap last year, sours and IPAs--Pipeworks/FFF collab was a big hit.

This year, though, looks like all BADL variants on draft on all taps at all stations. So, there's that.

 

Oh I know that. The coolers are for the car for Friday night share, trades, the fest and all that. I just meant that last year I packed my backpack cooler with like 6 frozen water bottles and probably 8-10 12/16 oz cans and bottles and a few bombers. I think I refilled twice at the car. I have a huge cellar and like to share but it's gonna be tough to decide what to bring with new rules. Like do I stack up with whalzbro stouts or fresh hazey goodness or local flavor....what!?!! Tell me what to do!

 

No one really knows because the limit was 288 oz last year.

 

Cook it up and mainline it like an adult.

 

A lot of the fun was random variant tappings so I think this sucks and creates more lines. They sped everything up with the wrist bands and now created more lines with this stupidity. And Handjee is one of the more over rated beers in my opinion. Had a bunch of variants I liked better. I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I personally think Port, Mediera, and the other fortified wines do Dark Lord the best justice. So bring on a Fortified wine variant for me!

couldn't agree more on handjee. BA DL and Chemtrail both better as far as 17 was concerned. I would be more than happy with a non-adjunct port / Brandy barrel.

It’s being tapped at the same time as Handjee, decision time!

 

I can guarantee if I get a Handjee I will put it up for trade for the standard $20,000 secondary value! I will gladly drink any other variant I get.

 

Hmm, I get MT emails, but didn’t get this one. I see they updated their website with the info but now I’m concerned about missing the email (and what other ones I might miss from them).

 

I was planning to bring a Monster’s Park...maybe I’ll pack something else...
