That people will be turning into 300 American dollars. Or a Barrel-Aged Abraxas. Or, in a few rare cases, multiple other quality beers.

Well it's certainly not the only reason, but once cashing out became an option the hobby became a crypto-currency market....

    Shitlord: "But maxprofitz"
Me: This is all so absurd I can't wrap my brain around it
    Shitlord: "Be there 3am bruh"

Honestly, people can do whatever they want. They can drive 6 hours to stand in line for another 12 hours. They can monitor instagram and facebook posts 18 hours a day. They can organize 3 or 4 of their friends to stand in line over the course of 3 days. That's on them. And that's what they choose to do, for $300, or another bottle of beer, or whatever. I just think that it's a/an [insert adjective here] commentary on how people prioritize things in their lives. I have links to the Greater Chicago Food Depository or the Big Brothers Big Sisters that would love even 1 hour of peoples' times that I could post here. But I guarantee you that virtually no one would do it.

That's really the only point I was making.

    [steps off of soapbox]

I won't even look at the FB groups on this release. At least SOME of you guys here are sane individuals.

And I'd love to see breweries recognize that. Have a community servathon project and anyone who volunteers a couple hours of their time helping out at something like a food depository or fixing up a school, cleaning up a road, etc. can purchase a bottle of the release....

Isn't it "homie" and not bruh? Maybe depends on the person you are talking too?

My favorite one listening to a woman at henna b2 brag about being there at 2 or 3 am and then saying she had an 8 month old at home in the same breath.

So you, won't, be there before 7am? The key for me is convincing my family to come with me. If I can get 4-6 bottles, I can profit and drink the rewards.

Besides, most cops are pretty rational when dealing with good people. I'm not coming to pop bottles are be a loud obnoxious asshole. That is what will get people kicked out, not the mere presence of people waiting in line quietly.

I assume the wristbands will be handed out at 11AM-11:30AM to maximize the shitshow to earn the most publicity.

Nothing is mOre "safe and fun" than hundreds of drunk irritated people being turned away after waiting for 4+ hours.

Dude. You HAVE to be trolling now. I refuse to believe you aren't trolling.

The key for you is convincing your family to mule for you so you can PROFIT AND DRINK THE REWARDS?

That last like is probably the shitlordiest thing I have ever heard someone say.

Yeah, but this is a bad point that relies on the old False Dilemma fallacy, which is played out beyond belief.

You waited in line for beer?!? You could have volunteered at a soup kitchen!

You went to see a movie!? You could have spent time with a kid in need of grown-up role models!

You took a vacation!?! But what about all the volunteer organizations that could have made better use of that time.

Don't get me wrong--I agree that this entire thing is ridiculous. It doesn't make me angry, but I do get bemused at how absurd this hobby has become. But talking about all the good things you could do with the time you spent chasing beer (or anything else that someone might spend their leisure time doing) is a waste of time.
