I’m happy with it because it kept the bottle Share tent less crowded while everyone chased tap times.

Was able to try 18 DL, Brozerker, Hung, and Chemtrailmix. Chemtrailmix was the winner. What an awesome time. Bands were great too.

 

Good. Mellower than the past. Which is a good thing IMO.

 

Sweet as hell but pretty solid.

Takeaway #1 - I guess I'm sorry that I got a Handjee?

Takeaway #2 - @Kejbeer is like Tom Cruise - the camera adds a foot in height?

Takeaway #3 - the idea of having announced times for the various variants, while a good idea in principle, made the lines a day-long shit show. No one knew which line they were in, nor where they were going. And, those lines bogged down the whole fest.

Takeaway #4 - There is an owl outside our window going who-who-who!!! That has to be good luck, right?

Takeaway #5 - the bottle share at DLD never disappoints.

Awesome fu*king DLD! Chemtrail Mix on tap was insane good. The brisket tacos and the chicken and waffles were great. Scored a Marshmallow Handjee, which is always a good thing. Pig Destroyer was kicking ass.

So as a quick question, what does everyone think Is a fair swap for Turtledogg? I’ve heard different values/offers all over the place.

 

Honestly my best dld yet. Left around 8 and I remember making the decision to leave. Ended up with a Handjee and Chemtrail. 2 tix ftw. Great shares and great bullshitting. cant wait till next year

 

BBT on tap stole the show for me. Had it twice and it was glorious. Hung Drawn N Quartered was also very lovely. The dark lord delivered today!!!

 

Rye Whiskey DL was one cup. Handjee and CMT were 2 cups (those were late in the day).

 

I found the non adjunct DL variants to be extremely underwhelming, including Brotila, Hung Drawn, and Varlov. You could have told me they were vintage DL that never saw a barrel and I would have believed it. Wound up with FVM for 2nd year in a row...at least they changed the barrel. The timed taps were dumb, but increasing the amount of variants on tap was smart. Next year don’t announce the tap times and just have enough quanitities of the variants. Handjee lasted from 2-4 pm at one tent. Previous years they lasted 10 minutes so they obviously increased the amount on draft.

 

I thought the rye was amazing. Got to try Handjee too. Understand the hype. To me...ChemTrailMix was like a strange Abraxas. Wish they had Lounge Against the MacroMachine to try.

 

On a serious note, how fucked am I if I got a turtledog. Does the fact there was only 400+ bottles matter?

Got hung drawn n quartered. Didn’t get to try that one so happy with my bottle. The timed tappings were an f’ing mess until 7 pm Handjee.... people had cleared out by then. Chemtrail was my favorite of the day.

 

Anyone try FVM? Initial untappd looks pretty good. That's what I ended up getting.
