Man looks like DB Black Maple is going to be a no go for me. I have to work on the day it comes out, and it will probably sell out before I get a chance to go up.

 

So basically if you are not there on Friday, you're saying that one should not drive down Saturday? I've never made the trip down but was maybe going to check it out. You think that it will not even last all day Friday?

 

Vision Is Lost Without Eyes sold out in like 6 hours. You'll still get some really good beer on tap even if it's sold out.

Went up to the Taproom for the first time ever

Got a 4oz pour of Vision (definitely lives up to the hype)



Had a full glass of Grave which was a really solid IPA offering



and I bought a bottle to take home



I will probably go back up for BB Black Maple next weekend. If I can't get a bottle then I'll enjoy it on draft. The taproom was nice and intimate, and gave off a more chill vibe than the 2 other locations. I'll definitely be back.

 

Loved Byrd Brain. Perfect amount of black pepper. Anyone know the function of the egg shells in it?

 

It looks like 151 cases available with a 6 bottle pp limit, you think that will last all day friday? just looking for a couple bottles.

 

I really doubt it.

 

Slightly more cases than Vision, probably less demand (doesn’t mention Appervation on the bottle), it could make it to the close but really depends on how many exchanges are getting setup still.

My understanding was that it was a hollandaise sauce inspired beer and the egg shell constituted the egg component

 

The next step is to mix this idea with NEIPA to reach craft beer's final form.

It must be IPA.

 

Could also help that they aren't selling at two different locations this time (Taproom and Brewpub). Many people have double dipped in the past at both locations, allowing it to sell out quicker. I noticed they cancelled selling DB BM at the Brewpub this time.

 

June releases mentioned on FB:

Bonneville: American Style Barley wine aged in Bourbon Barrels for 18 months. (Athens Only)
Bourbon Barrel Oil Of Aphrodite: Imperial walnut stout aged in bourbon barrels. (Ohio Distro)
Scrip: Grissette aged in wine barrels for 10 months. (Ohio distro)

Looks like these will be the last beers as options for exchanges for infected bottles.

 

I was told at the Taproom a couple weeks ago that you have to return your bottles by the end of June, but you don't need to pick up your replacements by the end of June. They'll add credits to your name that you can use throughout the rest of the year.

 

At the taproom for the bottle release today. The logistics of this line are absolutely horrid.

 

That's surprising, because their Anniversary Party is one of the smoothest releases I've ever been to.
