I was told Amity isn't getting any until Monday or Tuesday due to a problem with the distributor recording a new product.

Gandhi-Bot isn't on the shelves at coastal but supposedly they have some 4 packs left in the back if you ask nicely.

 

continued praise for NEBCO from me.

i'm in CT for a day, and stopped in to try some ghost pigeon and premeditated murder. amity didn't have PM on shelves yet and they were out at the brewery, so greg opened a bottle to let me (and others) try.

love it, great smooth caramel flavor but also leans toward some of the brooklyn monster-esque sweetness. some hops to balance it out and make it not-quite-"english barleywine". strongly suggest buying it if you see it.

wanted a growler of the porter but it kicked around when i had to go. would have been great at tonight's halloween party. got some sea hag straight from the bright tank instead; no complaints.

 

A new batch in the tank now should be canned in two weeks if stores are sold out

 

My wife and I went to Cask tonight to celebrate her birthday. I had a Premeditated and it was AWESOME. So delicious. That was my first time ever trying a barley wine. I'm sold. Good thing it was a 12 oz pour. I want more...

PM supposedly coming into Fairfield county stores tomorrow, no word on Gandhi in the area though :/

 

I will be in the area tomorrow. I saw on FB that NEBCO still doesnt have any power as of this morning. Any recommendations for a local bar that has a good selection of their beer so that I can grab a few pints? Or maybe a local packie that carries their stuff? Thanks.

They anounced yesterday that they have power.

 

Delaneys always has something good. They had Gbot and Galaxy two days ago.

Cask had Murder yesterday.

 

no, they did not... or maybe they did, and then took the post down because it wasn't true? just posted on facebook an hour ago saying they do not have power.

edit: more importantly, Cask says (as of the 30th) they have Coriolis on. call and find out if they still do, then proceed directly there if they do.

 

Weird... i just copied this now, which was posted 22 hours ago and this is the most recent post when i go on there... "We are open tonight. Powered up and ready to go so stop by."

I guess it is best to call... damn FB.

 

Mikro is really awesome. I'll do a proper review when I have a chance, but one nice thing I'll say here is that they always have something interesting from NEBCo on tab. When I was there it was the Saison.

 

PM is in as of this past Tuesday.

 

Looks like they have power back and will be open for growler fills tomorrow.

Of course its the day after I was just down there! lol
