47 Hops Spring Sale $4.47/#

My order was also placed on May 10. I called a few minutes ago to see if it was too late to tweak something on my order (not to inquire about when it would ship). Amanda, again, was top notch. My order hasn't shipped and she was able to make my desired adjustment.

She looked at my order date and said, without me asking, they would be printing the shipping labels for that date 'soon'. She was less ambiguous than 'soon' but I don't remember her exact words.
I expect there will be a lag between label printing and the tracking info being available at the shippers site.

 

Yes, I sent an email earlier about my order placed on 5/10 just to make sure it was processed and Amanda said it should be shipping out "soon" so I don't think it will be here before my planned memorial day brew.

 

I'm in the same boat. I was hoping to receive my order by Saturday for a memorial weekend brew day, but it's not looking good unless it ships today or tomorrow at the latest.

I also have a lager tying up my fermenter that I was planning to keg last weekend, but I picked up diacetyl. That means I may not have a place to put any beer I brew this weekend anyway! I guess it just wasn't meat to be.

 

As mentioned previously, the 47hops site indicates "All 1/2 lb and 1 lb packages come in a resealable mylar pouch and when stored in your freezer can last for up to one year with very little change in quality."

In a follow up post linked HERE it was said, among other things, "Under proper conditions, it takes pellets 3-5 years to begin to show any noticeable signs of degradation."


Unless I'm missing something, a quick read of those statements seems contradictory.
@47Hops can you help clarify a reasonable shelf life of these 2016 hops, when properly stored in the freezer?

 

Ya I’m in the same boat. Nothing yet. I’ll post if and when I get them here in Cali.

 

Emailed with them today. I ordered on 5/11...asked if she could guarantee delivery by 6/9 and she couldn't....

 

June 9th?! Sounds like they are really backed up. I may have to go ahead and brew something else this weekend with the hops I already have. Another 3+ weeks without brewing does not sound fun. Hopefully they are just covering their asses and it doesn't actually take that long.

 

Ordered 3 pounds from yakima on Thursday. Delivered today. Sure I paid more but am I anxious about their delivery date or cheese level? No, that’s priceless.

 

That is absolutely freakin' crazy. No wonder they have business issues.

Non-cheers to this stuff!!

 

I ordered the 14th, haven't gotten a shipping notice yet. I'll wait until after the long weekend and then send them an email.

Its cool to see you in the forum answering some questions. Related to receiving our hop orders, you have stated you're very back logged which is fine, but lets say an order slips through the cracks. How long should one wait from the order date to contact you about not receiving an order?

How did you find it was marked "shipped"? Did you receive an email, or did you find it somewhere on the website? I ordered the same day, and nothing.

 

Mine also shipped. Got an email confirmation. No tracking number, though.

 

Ordered on 5/10 and no shipping update yet.
