Sipping one now and... yes. Green Power is back. This is great.

Did anyone like Dream Power? It didn't seem to garner much response around these parts.

Damn seven beers in one week? I think they offered seven beers the week prior too. Coupled with the fact that they've extended their tap room hours, it sounds like they are trying to get their beers more easily available to tourists, and...dare I say...locals.

Also, finally tried Triple Mosaic Daydream. Very good, but not as good as Double IMO. Super creamy though.

Speaking to some of the taproom staff the other day, the explicit word I heard was that OH has been and will continue to expand production until they are able to consistently maintain a stock of cans to-go. They have no intention of scrapping the Saturday morning release tradition, but they'd like to meet demand such that, by the end of this year (a milestone, they said), most Saturday releases last through the day, if not through the whole weekend. Then, they'll use the weekday releases to fill in gaps in supply and ensure that tourists/locals can hop in whenever and have a decent (at worst) or diverse (at best) selection of cans.

   !

We did it boys. Amazing work from everyone here. Our consistent complaining...probably made this happen.

Shhh. If we keep complaining they might eventually grill up some brisket.

Forever Simcoe is very good but seems more muted than the first version that blew my tits off

Maybe my palate is too far gone and nothing but quintuple dry hopped beers will be able to excite me now

Coming down from NH for some Yankee games over the weekend myself and I sure would appreciate it if you all left at least a 4 pack of each for me for Saturday morning! I will bring some growlers along just in case nothing last though...

OH beers really come together (peak ripeness) at about 2 weeks out. However, I am loving how this batch is tasting already.

Outside of maybe Tired Hands’ Technicolor Splendor, this is my favorite Simcoe heavy beer being brewed these days. Bonus points for it flying under the radar in terms of hype/lines.

Don’t know how I really feel about this. What’s going to happen to this thread?

You can walk out of Tree House now with like 6 cases of beer most days, and that thread is still a shit show.

This thread will be just fine.

people will complain about the slightest batch variation or get pissed when they buy a can that was canned 10+ days ago.

I thought Forever Simcoe tasted spectacular and ditto for ACE. Sour IPA was a good first try, enjoyable but had a sharpness that HV has managed to eliminate in their Sour IPAs.
Which, by the way, these sour IPAs never taste like IPAs, maybe they all should just abandon that nomenclature.

The MMM plum wasn’t bad at all, the plum very much present, but I didn’t get a burning desire to drink a whole lot of it.

In general, OH’s can prices were fine for me when coming for visits and buying occasionally, but now that I am here full-time, I am opting out of any $15-20 4-packs.

If y’all ask me that should be the next frontier for OH and other breweries: a 4-pack (or 6-pack, imagine that) in the $10-12 area that is regularly available. Industrial Arts and Carton have a few options at $14 in Jersey Whole Foods and some places a tad cheaper, and for that I’m appreciative. Also, not sure if folks noticed but Singlecut took over Schmaltz upstate and they put, I think it was 18-Watt, in Wegman’s stores for $12.99.

That’s a huge leap for Singlecut in a lot of ways and something I hope OH and others pursuit in the name of competition and us consumers reap the reward.

I was able to stop by the taproom and pick up a 4-pack of forever simcoe. It is pretty amazing how much easier it has been to get cans at the brewery in the past few months.

Anywho...I tried the new sour ipa last night and thought it was pretty gross to be honest. It was just crazy sweet and I could only finish about half of it. As a huge fan of both hoppy sours and what hudson valley/grimm has done in the past year or so this is nowhere near one of their beers in quality. Can't imagine drinking a four pack of that.

For what its worth, I think they said they didnt actually can it and only did it on tap because it was their first try and didnt want to can it until they knew how people felt about it. Seems to be a step in the right direction.

I also had the sour IPA on tap Saturday and was not impressed.

I did have citra + idaho 7 and it was stellar. The dual hop series continues to my favorite from OH. I wish they would make a lower ABV version, such as a dual hop pale ale, for the warmer months.

Also found MMM fruit to be a decent beer. Not something I would drink can after can of but it was refreshing to drink in the sun Monday after work.

Makes sense to me, it's great to see other half trot out something other than a ddh IPA. II think we're all pretty psyched about that just surprised by the great reviews of it.
