Forbidden Root (2018)

I'm still on the fence for tomorrows event. I'm going to play it by ear. Last years event was awesome tho!

 

I got a call yesterday (from...maybe Kerri?) saying the event was starting at 6, and asking if I wanted to change my reservation. I told her I thought it was at 5, but that'd I'd move my reso from 4:30 to 5:30 if the 6pm start was for real.

So...what gives? FB still has it for 5pm, you're saying taps are on at 5...should I be going back to my original 4:30 reso time?

 

Nah, I was asking about the purp. But I'll definitely be drinking both. @KrajDoesBeer Crowlers available for both?

One of the best beers in the city right now. I am slightly embarrassed at how much of it Christy and I have put down between batch 1 and 2.

 

Just as another heads up, @KrajDoesBeer (I already PM'd you my info, thanks again), I saw a Hop Butcher tweet advertising your tap takeover at 6:30 pm. I highly doubt this'll cut into your patrons very much, but I figured I'd mention it in case it mattered to you.

I believe @KrajDoesBeer said upthread that they only allotted a small portion of their capacity to reservations for tonight, so walk-ins are good...assuming you're there early enough!

I'm on a week of sticking around the house so my wife and kids remember who I am after last weekend, so I won't be there but I'll be glad to hear of the highlights.

So I'm sick and missing the NE tap take over and I'm super bummed because where else in the city can you get 16 different NE beers on tap? Nowhere.

Another great time at forbidden root. Was good seeing a couple of you. Great beer all around. Loved that Assembly.

 

Great time. Super crowded at the beginning though. Bartenders definitely earned their money today! Everybody on staff was super nice as usual, even with some questionable customer behavior. I loved the Continental, Assembly Required and the Mango Milkshake from Bent River. So cool to be able to try so many NEIPAs at once. My last pour was the Happy for Pecans by Little Beaver which was tasty and a nice finishing beer. I'll definitely be back soon for the in house FR beers and hopefully at the next bottle share as well!
