Not sure about the Dojo, but it's been on draft at the popup all week.

Anybody been to the Dojo this weekend? Curious what the current barrel aged bottles are?

I was in for the new cans yesterday so just briefly glanced at the BA section, but did notice that port, coffee, and over the line were still there, among a couple others that I didn't catch.

it's kinda like Lil Citra with no bittering hops and less late hop additions/dry hopping. i dont notice any citra or mosiac hop flavors or aroma. it's kinda lemony. it's my least fav of the new cans.

but i really like shark pants. the pilsner is good if you like your pilsners dry (i dont).

of the 3 i only see myself buying shark pants again.

Haven’t had It but it’s funny you mentioned no hop flavors. I had the Mikerphone zero IBU beer and I didn’t pick up any Galaxy flavors and I was very surprised in a bad way. Maybe there is something to these hop flavors not coming through in this style?

If there’s no bittering hops in the boil, there will be very little hop flavor.

Dry hop is mainly for for aroma.

Drank half, drain poured the rest. Its like Beer LaCroix. Almost flavorless, off smelling, no body, watery finish. Like a very watered down berliner? Hop water? Its like the runoff from a NEIPA diluted with water. Hard pass in my opinion

The only one of these that I was interested in was the pilsner (though a celery sour is really interesting, and the hoppy wheat is a bit of a throwback style that I used to enjoy a lot, so I'll catch those on tap sometime).

Having had the pils now, I can say that it exceeded my expectations. It's much better than the likes of Pony and on par with Half Acre's other pils, Fader (which is an asinine $12 per four-pack). It is not the best German pilsner I can get on the shelf in the area (that honor goes to Urban Chestnut Stammtisch, which is the same price, and of course it does not compare to Ayinger Bavarian Pils, Bitburger Premium Pils, Jever Pils, or Koenig Pils, but it is very hard to find those fresh), but it is damn good, and it will be a repeat purchase for me. My only gripe is that the crispness could be a little better and the aftertaste lingers a bit too much, which impacts the drinkability. Otherwise, this is a brilliant beer, and I am very happy to see Pipeworks finally delivering with more lagers.

They just posted about brewing a hoppy, hazy beer in collaboration with Marz today. And it's destined for cans. That one should be interesting.
