Doubtful, but I'm staying optimistic. From my experience, PW does not do the best job of making adjuncts truly shine through a beer.

 

More seriously than my previous posts, I generally agree with the stout adjuncts - particularly on the abductions. Jones dogs seem a little better to me.

 

Random, but how is it that PW hasn't done a BA vanilla stout!?!?

 

Because they don't need to. But I said that about NEIPAs and they ended up brewing a couple. So they will probably do one soon.

 

BA Jones Dog?

 

BA Jones Dog is vanilla and cacao nibs.

 

The Berry Abduction was...not that good. WAY too sweet.

 

I mean, if we're counting that we're counting most of their BA stouts!

 

I'm pretty pumped about the ice cream Jones Dog. I've liked most of PW's adjunct stouts. It's part of what help put them on the map.

But chocolate is poisonous to dogs and I don't think it's safe to put chocolate ice cream on a dog's head.

 

Just a PSA for Moon and Back. I know an English IPA isn't a popular style, but for $5 at The Dojo right now, this beer is fantastic.



A shame that it doesn't sell better because this is a delicious brew. At $5 for a bomber, it's a steal.

I love that glass.

 

They had Premium Pils fourpacks at Binny's Grand so I grabbed one, and it's great. I agree with @THANAT0PSIS statements about it above. It also finishes pretty dry, and that dryness lingers for me quite a bit, but I really dig it. Hope they will do more lagers.

 

Does anyone know if they'll be pumping these cans out for a while? I didn't catch it in the press release, though I can't imagine they'd be one-offs. The pils disappeared around me very quickly, and I'm hoping it comes back around (if it hasn't already).

 

Having the Sellray Sour on a hot summer night...this isn't one I would've bought in a 4 pack, but I took a chance on a can at Bottles & Cans.

Refreshing, balanced and PERFECT for these godawful humid nights in Chicago.

A hint of lemon tartness but this isn't really "sour"; the celery adds a crisp refreshing element and there's a hint of peppercorn bite.

Very pleasantly surprised. If you see it, buy it!!

 

Anyone see the Premium Pilsner at any of the suburban Binny's?

 

Not a Binnys, but Trader Joes in Downers Grove has a lot & Shark Party as well

No problem. Btw all the PW cans are on the end cap there & not with the other the shelf beers. They have a good selection of PW bombers & super fresh NvU too, but check dates on any other cans you're eyeing
