Why Goode Company? I was thinking Hay Merchant since they have the space and they do nice dinners with special beer.

I'm sure they'll get some, but over the less than a year that they've been open, they've only sold bottles once or twice? Homefront and something when Schmaltz showed up? Maybe I'm wrong on those, but still, I would look at places that actually consistently sell bottles.

Are you guys going to release info for date and locations for BB1, or are you going to leave it a mystery?

I'm hoping to go to petrol Monday and scoop up a bottle right at opening time.

That's a great question that I don't have an answer to. I've said it before, I just brew the beer. I'll ask around at work and try and let you guys know.

Almost no way I'll be able to get this unfortunately. :slight_frown:

Only if they let me grab a bottle and go at Petrol.

Why would you want to sit on a BBA stout? Get it while it's fresh and get the most out of the bourbon barrels it was aged in.

I find BBA beers to be hot right out of the gate. Age mellows them, but you still get the barrel character.

You still get some of the barrel character, but nothing like when it is fresh though. I do get what you are saying. I prefer mine as fresh as I can get them. Most of the BBA stouts that age at my house are just to spread them out a little bit at a time so I don't just plow through my stash.

    That's always part of it.

That said, if I was able to take one home, it would be to share with the GF (Her last name is Bishop, so she'd love to have the bottle too). I have my son, so both of us can't go out. :slight_frown:

Hay Merchant tweeted that they're selling BB1 starting Tuesday, and you can have it to go.

According to the chron blog, 1000 cases where made and Houston gets 500 cases and the remainder go out to other city's.
