Good beer with outdoor seating in Chicago?

    Curious about this. Have the day off tomorrow and going to a concert in Tinley Park. Tempted to drive to the Tinley Park metra before the concert and hang out around the LaSalle street metra station on the beach. Anywhere near there sell good beer you could drink on the beach?

    If you wanted to you could always stay in Tinley Park and hit Tribes on 179th and LaGrange. They generally have a solid tap list and they have a nice outdoor beer garden.

    Lasalle St Station isn't really near a beach. Its about a 20 minute walk from the water, but around that area is basically just a concrete path/marinas. Ohio St Beach is really the closest beach to the loop (or maybe the beach by Northerly Island). Either way, there isn't a place near those beaches that really sell alcohol, that I am aware of. Unless you're going to Navy Pier, but again, that's not a beach.

    If you wanted to stay near the TP area, check out 350 or Soundgrowler...Soundgrowler has good tacos too.

    Can't help much with the beer, I know the Open Bottle is somewhere around Tinley Park and they've got taps.

    Hope you enjoy the show, should be a good one!

    I'll second Open Bottle (for pours and package), Hailstorm (Solid beer), 350 Brewing (punk and wrestling), Soundgrowler (doom) and Tribes (food and draft). All pretty close to your venue. Enjoy the show!
