Thirded. I thought it was a very poor beer.

 

Having a Boing from a can right now. Yeah, not a huge fan. Seems a tad undercarbed (could just be personal preference though). There's an astringent taste that I get that's mildly off putting. Reminds me of when you eat fresh pineapple that is either not ripe enough and/or cut too close to the core - has that undesirable bitter quality to it. And now that you all mention it, a little metallic once it warms up. Glad I split a 6 pack 3 ways.

 

Never been a big Saint Errant fan...but this first batch at Begyle is KILLER. Wander On is a citrus delight, with some creaminess and a bit of dryness (but not bitterness). I only bought a single; wish I had copped a 4 pack!

I hope this is a sign of things to come from their new arrangement.

 

I just saw on the Facebook, they have another release this Friday. Unfortunately I don’t know how to embed it here. It’s an apricot milkshake style ipa.

 

I think I have had the absolute nadir of the Chicago NE IPA scene. "OK, Fiiine" from Bold Dog Brewing Co.

I've never tasted urine, but I've smelled it...and damn, I'm not sure this isn't urine.

Their address is the same as Lake Effect...anyone know if this is a contract brew or a "rebrand"? I'm hoping Lake Effect had nothing to do with this beer.

I cannot implore you enough...whether you like NE IPAs, west coast, english...or if you hate IPA's in general...fuck it, if you happen to be my worst enemy ------ do not buy this beer.

That is the worst ipa i've ever had. When i saw it had nelson, galaxy, and mosiac i thought "well this cant be too bad". i was wrong. it was a can of pissy garbage.

What's the best low ABV (5% ish) NE IPA available right now? I like the Corridor one's but right now they have the 8 percent squeeze juice.
