Corridor Brewery & Provisions

So I also went to get my normal crowler of Squeezit last night (got there around 4:15). Had the FR collab, Continental while waiting. I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Saw an open spot at the bar (right side section past the wait station) with a glass of water in front of it, and asked the two guys next to it if someone was sitting there. They said yes, I said cool. Waited for about 20 minutes, no one came back to the seat. I stood next to them and stared, but they ignored me. My buddy and I ended up getting a table instead of standing, which worked out well. Long story short, 45 minutes later, the seat was still open, with said guy's water sitting in front of the stool. Mind you, the place was packed at this point. Finally their friends showed up after 5 when it started getting really packed, and they all ordered multiple pours of Henna.

If you were one of those douchebags, fuck you very much, you entitled, self-centered assholes.

This sort of d-baggery is one of the things that has turned me off of so many beer events. The majority of people on BA seem pretty cool (and a lot are outright generous), but a lot of the people that end up at these events are just pieces of shit, like...well, the general public.

Anyway, I'll be heading over in an hour or so to try and grab either a crowler of New Wave or a 4-pack of Squeezit. Neither is for me, I'm excited to say.

 

Wait staff took our Henna order tableside right after 5pm, our pour we ended up splitting arrived right around when keg kicked. I would think that would be enough time but I agree should have gone to the bar. Goose Island is pretty good about their tappings for seated customer, assumed it would be similar. Lesson learned for next time

 

In fairness, I think Goose took a while to learn their lessons about how to do their releases/events really well. Corridor is just getting into this stuff, and they kind of blew up overnight. They'll get there.

 

Shame on the bartenders too for not recognizing that.

I got you all next release though. I'll get there at open and put water in front of all the bar stools until you get there.

 

I tried getting out of the way to be honest. I ordered my Hennah and peaches, plus crowlers all at the same time. They were so busy behind the bar it took another 5-10 minutes for the guy to take my credit card.

 

What was the line for Squeeze It cans like today?

Holiday weekend and the weather is warm. July will be like this too and things should be back to normal after that

NBrock hit it on the head. People are out of work early so if you are going to grab a beer, why not make an early release?

 

Holiday weekend, people off early, selling crowlers of multiple DDH IPAs. If there was ever a time to go wait in line it was today.

 

It took 2 hours to get to Corridor from Joliet this afternoon. Bad timing for me with the Cubs game ending when it did. It took 45 minutes to grab a bar seat too. New Wave and Peaches we’re both really damn good. They deliver on what was promised for sure.

 

Echo the reasoning for people above. Corridor is about the hardest place for me to get to, but today office closed at 1 so it was doable for the first time.

I got there at 1:50 and think I was in first 40, so most of the line was right around the release time.

The peaches beer sure is peachy!
