    What @Vidblain said. I think a part of that is that I am not sure that feedback could always be changed.

    Also, I think it is like a "you got the goods? I got the money" even exchange sort of thing. People are sometimes worried to leave feedback until they see what happens on both sides. I, personally, don't think a trade is complete until both sides have received their packages, and all is safe and sound. Before that, if someone flips their shit because of any simple reason, you might want to leave feedback similar to:

    Trade completed as requested. Gentleman flipped out when package arrived 1 day late.

    Make sense?

    Most people are good people, and you should not have to do this, but sometimes people just fall off the face of the earth. I may have received your box, but I still need to make sure your behavior is good when you receive mine.

    I have gone back and forth on this. Initially I thought everyone was perhaps being a little critical (perhaps because we all are thinking these 7 beers are very specific, and not something that has an obvious upgrade, like a regular (base) version of a stout vs the limited BA version of it.

    That said, I see both sides. If you wanted these 7 beers, and you're like me, and your palate can be picky, i can see how an upgrade might not be a real upgrade. And in this case, I would probably say thank you, be very gracious, but explain that you really want to get those X, y, Z beers "next time". On the other hand, if you're thrilled with the "upgrades," say so and try to show some love back. I suspect you'll end up happy.

    Finally, if you just think everything is like, totally dreadful, be polite, but explain that these aren't your jam, and you won't drink them. He was (probably) trying to be selfless, so maybe offer to split the cost of return shipping. It's only $14-20 unless it's a large box.

    Just my 2cents.

    The thread was pet peeves... that is mine.

    Regarding making sure my behavior is good when I receive yours... That is pretty dumb. You received my side of the trade. I executed. What you are describing would be deemed retaliation. You execute and you should have no worries. I have over 150 total logged trades between multiple sites and have never had a problem with my packages. Yet, I have received broken bottles and exploded cans multiple times. Everyone had made up for and we are all good. But, by your analogy, I could have gotten screwed and then a guy has the ability to mark me down. Sorry, ain’t buying it.

    That's not really what I am saying.

    Consider if you received their package, and communication is good until the person receives your package. Then it completely falls off. As in you know it was delivered, but nothing else.

    Are you suggesting that you might not want to leave feedback that says "Trade completed. Communication was good until the end, then suddenly stopped."

    You're still leaving positive feedback, but you're also letting others know that communication just died. It's not retaliatory at all. It's just realistic.

    I get that this is your pet peave, and that's fine, I was just providing some perspective on why people may wait.

    So, your point is somewhat moot, right?

    Given that it is editable, yes, there's no real impetus to wait.


    (I wasn't arguing that people should wait, just why I figured some people do wait.)

    I second this. I had a large trade where I sent 2 boxed which were delivered and received a week ago and I receive a message this morning that the other person traded one of the better bottles in our accepted trade. He hasn't shipped yet or got back to me on what I want for a replacement.

    He has created labels for my boxes somehow without us finding an acceptable replacement for the rescinded bottle.

    It's just so disrespectful. That's always the BIg thing for me.

    I hate when people say "it's just beer! Relax." I feel like those people are usually missing the point. In this case it's not about beer, Irma about how you treat people. Treat others how you want to be treated.

    Whoa... so, you had an agreed upon trade, and the other party traded one of the bottles in the trade that was agreed. Then, on top of that they did not let you choose the replacement bottle?

    Is the trader experienced? Did you have a trade logged on the site? Do you have the trade clearly outlined in the conversation between you two? (I restate my trades explicitly now before I consider the trade final, but that was from issues in the past.)

    If all of that is true, I think you are well within your right to do so. I would consider one more message to give them a chance to make it right, but after that, I would have to very seriously consider logging them as a bad trader. Shame that people act like that, as @Beer_Economicus said, who would want someone else to do that to them?

    I bet the dude has not left your feedback yet either, right?

    Good luck, bro. I feel sick for you. Hate hearing shit like this.

    That is inexcusable.

    To cover yourself, I'd send this character one more polite note to the effect of "What did you send? If it wasn't exactly what we agreed on, I'm going to expect to be made whole". It doesn't matter if the trader even "upgraded" the bottle, since it might not be what you're personally looking for.

    There have been a number of instances over the years where someone has tried to use their long positive trading history as a shield against current bad behavior. I'd bet this is going to be one of them. And if he really altered his side of the trade without bothering to talk to you & sent that late, a bad trader thread is 100% warranted if he won't make it right.

    I know what is being sent but it is not what I want or agreed to.

    I'm going to wait for the box and proceed from there.

    I'm quite annoyed today and don't want to overreact. I'll decide what to do when I cool down a little
