If one were to show up on a Sunday right at opening what kind of to-go offerings are likely to be available? Are there usually cans still hanging around (if not, growlers)? And are cans available in bottle shops in the area? First timer obviously, doing a quick swing through in two weeks.

The only to-go offerings available on a Sunday would be any remaining cans that did not sell out during the week. These would be available for sale starting at noon, until they do sell out.

    We don't offer growler fills.

Hope this helps and see you in a few weeks!

Any chance of Nothing Gold cans hanging around until Friday morning this week?

We packaged this today, yielding about 300 cases... So anything is possible.

Stay tuned to Instagram for updates.

One more question. Have a wedding to go to at 1 PM on Saturday. What time should I get there in order to avoid being strangled by my wife for missing her best friend's wedding ceremony? i.e. should I worry about a line or can I be in and out before 11:30ish?

Our hotel is about 10 min. from the brewery

I'd err on the side of not being strangled by your wife and would arrive as early as possible...

If Swish isn't the best damn IPA in the world, I don't know what is.

I can name 20 or 30 that I think are better. Easily.

As always, it's just a matter of personal opinion and personal preference. It's absolutely cool that you love it so much, but everyone's tastes are different. Have had swish out of can and on tap, and thought it a decent, well made IPA/DIPA. However, IMHO, pretty much everything I've had in an IPA/DIPA from Trillium and Hill Farmstead was superior to it. And of course, that's just from those two breweries, from that particular region of the country.

That doesn't diminish your impression of the beer at all. However, I think it fair to say that there are a lot of IPA/DIPA's that many of us would find superior.

Man, I've had a lot of Trillium and HF IPAs and never though any better than, or really even that close to Swish. I know my tendency is towards wheaty IPAs with citra and mosaic, and that I have a soft spot for Simcoe, so maybe this beer is perfectly tailored for me.

This beer makes me want to find a job near Portland Maine.

Edit: If you want to, please share the 20 to 30. If it's only in a PM that's fine!

Sounds like it to me. And that's no criticism. There are a number of IPA's/DIPA's that I think are great, and I know very well that's because they're crafted in a manner that suits my personal taste.

During my most recent trip out to the NE, the best beers I tasted were SOS, Focal Bangor and Heady. That probably says a lot about my particular taste. Swish was good (I had a couple of cans and on tap at the King's Head), but considering the hype surrounding this beer, I was a bit disappointed. Still a good beer, don't get me wrong, but at least for me, it didn't hit all the sweet spots I look for in an IP/DIPA.

Swish with the original yeast profile couldn't be rivaled. After the new yeast profile (right around the time they transitioned in the new brewery), Swish tastes just like a burning/bitter Trillium beer.

SOS isn't even the best beer brewed in Connecticut.
Heady and Floatcalbanger have been surpassed by many brewers. Good beers, just not king of the hill anymore
    Three bad examples

In your opinion. Which was the entire point of my post, which I gather you didn't get.

    Cheers!

Person A: taste is a matter of personal preference
Person B: name your favorite DIPAs
    Person A: /names them
    Person B: awful taste

Not saying you specifically, but this is the sorta person I expect will be decrying NEIPAs in a few years in favor of sour pilsners or something.

When does the Summer release schedule typically get released? We are heading up to PTL for the weekend of June 23rd.

I’m heading up the same weekend. With the last Spring drop this week, have to imagine we’ll see the Summer schedule soon.
