Nobody's forcing anyone into a line. Just saying that if you limit it more, those people who prefer to come when there's no line don't stand a chance of getting any. It doesn't really bother me to miss out, but I think it could be more evenly spread out - in case people who have to work until 5 can get some.

eh, the two year old needs to take a nap so that's a 2 hour waste of the day as is

a 2 hire time frame isn't long enough to take the five year old somewhere

the youngest is three months and my wife will just nap/feed him while the two year old sleeps

Was on my over there Thursday evening when I saw the update that it was gone. Too bad, a lot of people seem to have liked it. Vapid was worth the drive out, though. And the Berliner is pretty awesome, too.

I'm not the type to fawn over a brewery, but I feel like Aslin has been killing it across the board lately. I've been kind of surprised this thread has generated so little chatter, though I'm not going to complain if that relative silence continues to result in easily accessible cans.

These $15 four packs of OS are the best bargain ever.

So, how long can the lines be on Thursdays?

Thinking it would be convenient if I drive into the area and go there, then Clemyjontri Park in Mclean, then into DC since we may not be able to check in until 3

Plus, if there’s anything that released Thursday that’s a smaller batch it would definitely be available

How does the Aslin Beer Garden at the ballpark in DC work? Are cans sold there?

On-site consumption only. 16 oz cans and usually have 4-5 options available.

From what I read thus far, there's nothing at the ballpark location that appeals to me. Drinking Aslin in a can in a parking lot doesn't necessarily sound like a good time. I'm in central MD and I'd rather drive a bit farther to the actual Herndon location, get a wider offering and be able to bring the cans home.

It just sounds like they were trying to extend a wider footprint around the DMV area, especially since America, Beer and Baseball all go together. I just think they need to rethink how they're approaching the experience though...

Kudos to them for being the awesome people they are and continuing to make great beer but executing ideas in haste doesn't necessarily mean the best long term solution.

Picked up El Frutero with Mango and San Saba on Saturday. I thought both were really nice beers. Anyone tried these?

^interested in both but went Thursday evening to pick up cans while staying in DC last week

Would have maybe tried to go Saturday instead if I had a crystal ball

I was surprised that the Pilsner had sold out before I got there

Mango Frutero had a more prominent pepper kick in the finish than Watermelon Frutero, which I liked, but I really didn't get much mango in the taste like I got watermelon in the prior variant. On the whole, I think I liked the watermelon better for its greater complexity, but I'm looking forward to this series. Haven't cracked any of my San Saba yet.

I really liked the mango frutero, didn't get to try the watermelon version, so I can't compare the two.
I had a San Saba last night. I really liked that one.

Any updates on the taproom? I wish they would sell singles of all the beers until it opens, I'd like to try more of their beers without having to buy 64 oz of each one.

This has become my favorite Aslin beer overall. These recent batches have tasted like their very first batch back in the olden days.

Anyone know the difference between Sorbet and Grovestand? Lacto maybe? I see the same hops, same abv, same price, and almost the same description.

Sounds like Grovestand def has lactose added, something they need to be more clear about, it's in all their Gose's which I had no clue about until I asked. Both description mention vanilla, maybe there is vanilla in one? or both?

Yeah, I don't remember what the difference is. IMO, Sorbet > Grovestand.

Now that I think about it, think there's more Orange in Grovestand?
