Yeah I was pretty impressed as it brought out that peach flavor in a way I haven’t had since Peach Climacteric which is a very different beer. I wish I had an extra crowler as they may never brew this again for all we know

Popped in at Corridor today and got to catch up on all the excitement from the last few weeks. Just a heads up for folks I couldn't get any crowlers because they had no aluminum cans to fill, so bring glass. I was told they went through over a thousand crowlers this weekend and had none left. Amazing.

Squeeze it only usually lasts 2 and a half to three and a half days but with Craft Beer Week , home games and the beautiful weather doesn't surprise me they went through the 9 Barrels in 36 hours. Was also told from the time they tapped the Henna it was basically non-stop pours and I'm sure a lot of the More Fanboys showed up as well.

Happy Corridor is getting all the recognition they deserve, bummed I can't make all the events but I'm happy enough to show up at non peak times and enjoy some good beers, music and conversation with the staff who always treat me so well.

When are their non-peak times? I've only been to Corridor once, about 3 PM on a Saturday with no special releases. Most places in town (including the ones known for NEIPAs) that's a pretty quiet time. Corridor was overflowing with people and I was lucky to get a seat at the bar. The food and service were great, the beer was good, but I'm hesitant to try again especially given some of the posts here. It sounds like the place is always crazy.

I can't be critical of Corridor, it sounds like their business model is working great for them.

I think anytime on a Saturday is peak time to be honest. I used to have meetings for work close by and I stop in around 11 or 12 on a weekday. That's the time to go, I know that's not possible for most people. Unfortunately my schedule no longer allows that.

It's like going to FFF, but instead of sitting in a parking lot waiting an hour, you are in beautiful Southport with tons of shopping. Pop in and grab some Jenni's ice cream or go browse the Amazon bookstore.

The thing to consider about Corridor is the neighborhood. Pretty much anytime from noon-on is going to be "peak" for Saturdays in the Southport Corridor, especially in warm weather. It's a pretty busy, trendy neighborhood, and the extra traffic brought in by the Cubs (boo) means they don't really have off-times.

With that being said, when they open the patio it becomes much easier to get a table inside, so it's probably still worth swinging by to check out if you're in the area.

For me non peak would be mon thru thurs from noon to 5:00 p.m. when there are no cubs games in town. Not great for everybodys schedule but it fits in mine on occasion. Definitely a little quieter in the winter months as well or at least it used to be. With it being one of a handful of places in the city and suburbs making a top tier Hazy Ipa( others being Forbidden Root, Dryhop, Hubbards Cave, Mikerphone and Maplewood) it can see alot of traffic in the evenings and weekends. Another good time used to be monday around 5 when they have the Barman's Banquet which is a tap pour (any) a shot of old Grand Dad (Bonded) and a burger and fries for $15.

Think gonna swing by this evening to try Peaches, H2H and New Wave Dance Craze. Do they still have Continental?

FR does the Barman's Banquet concept as well, and it's a steal considering their burger is normally $16. Both are excellente, and it's worth braving Corridor for that deal (their burger reminds me a lot of Au Cheval in style). I believe DryHop does the same deal as well.

Damn. I was there on Monday and I had the sours, but as I was about to order the Continental the waitress took that draft booklet off the table and stamped that it was out. Really wanted to try that one.

I actually ordered a Continental on Friday (because I saw the card on the reservation table) and it had kicked at that point (without me trying it) unless they put a new keg on after Friday evening.

Continental kicked Friday a little after the can release. My buddy got the last bit. Maybe they have more.

Had a pour about 30 mins ago so definitely on. No crowlers or growlers of it though.

I tried this once but the staff was AGGRESSIVE with asking me if I needed help. You can't walk 3 feet without being swarmed by employees.

Or maybe I look like a thief?

It's not just you, I felt the same way, even after I told them that I was just curious as I'd never been in, the same employees kept constantly asking if I needed help. I know not everyone is like me, but I'm the type of person that will ask if I need help. I don't consider it good customer service to continually try to help me when I don't want it, same with waitstaff who are at my table every two minutes (as someone with experience there, that's an admittedly tough balancing act as some tables expect you to essentially be a waiter by the strictest definition and wait by their table until they need something, and if you don't you get a bad tip).

The problem is that they want to recommend you things, so saying, "I don't know what I want," is basically a death sentence. I don't know if you've been, but it's a highly curated selection of things, and the employees were allegedly hired because of their knowledge about certain things so that they can recommend items to you.
