47 Hops Spring Sale $4.47/#

My order says the 31st but it's usually faster then that.

 

3 pounds of hops shipped for under $30 is a steal, even if the hops are two years old! I see some more IPA and super hoppy saisons in my very near future!

 

Just received an email stating that my order placed on 5/10 has shipped. Not in the FedEx system yet so no tracking details.

 

Just got the tracking info on mine. It will be 7 days. Holiday weekend kind of makes a mess of shipping time, I suppose. Don't think I will be brewing this weekend anyhow, but could factor some of those hops into next weekend.

 

When did you order,? It seems the 10th were sent yesterday. I ordered in the 11th and have nothing..

 

Just got my fedex info. Ordered on 5/11. Scheduled to arrive 6/1

 

Having ordered a bunch of these 2016 hops, and because I still have 2026 hops on my freezer, maybe it’s time to ask about hop storage index and addressing hop aging/ibu loss/flavor loss. BeerSmith doesn’t give hsi info for every hop I ordered, but does for some. The calculus used by BS is %aa loss per 6 month. Does anyone have a different go-to reference for this info? Or alternate approaches for addressing performance in older hops ?

 

I always assumed 10% loss per year if vacuum sealed and frozen.

Thanks. That could be useful. However, I'll be receiving varieties of newer hops that are not there: Azacca, El Dorado, Hallertau Blanc, Huell Melon, Mandarina Bavaria, Pekko.

 

@47Hops is the sale over? Looks like prices have gone up. $16 per pound of Azacca, for instance.

 

I believe the sale ended last Friday after they extended the original one.

 

They must of sent hundreds of orders at one time. Got a tracking # on the 5/23 but it says Fedex picked it up on the 29th and i won't get it until 6/5. I'll probably forget i ordered them.

Same. I'll bet those hops will probably be wonderful sitting in a warehouse all weekend, never mind the horrendous heat we've dealt with the last week. If they weren't cheesy when they shipped. They sure will be now.

 

We have been in the low to mid 80s all last week and in the mid to high 80s so far this week here in NY. Hopefully the hops were kept refrigerated until picked up lol

 

But they won't be refrigerated on the FedEx truck coming from Washington state.

He posted that on May 23. I ordered mine the same day he did (May 10) but asked @47Hops to revise the shipping method and expected some sort of additional delay. That said, I've yet to receive shipping confirmation and/or tracking info.

 

My shipping was updated from by 6/1 to by 6/5....
