So I see that members can bring a guest or two, but the guests can't buy bottles until the normal release time. Does that mean they'd have to go back outside to the back of the line?

I've never been to Bark Lord Day...two questions...
    1. How early do people line up? I am justifying a trip to my wife and I want to be in and out shortly after opening.
    2. Does Transient/Town of Bridgman have rules against drinking/bottle sharing in line? Done responsibly of course.

I did not attend this release last year but IIRC from reading this thread the first people lined up very early in the morning (3:30am?), and Chris was pretty explicit that drinking in line is not allowed and that it is a risk to his business. From a recent answer to one of my questions in this thread it sounds like last year's line, while long (and eventful, with the crazy screaming lady) was pretty tame and respectful from the drinking and cutting perspectives.

Yeah that's pretty spot on. The line moves slowly for a variety of reasons (barring any changes of course). Capacity, filling your own boxes with bottles/cans, and the hectic nature of the to go line being at the draft counter combines for it be a slow experience despite the staff's hustle

I got there at 5am last year and was #6 and #7 in line with my girlmule. The line went super slow last year, I think he has a better system this year and it will go faster. I do know they didn’t run out until Sunday last year, but did cut the quantities back. I jumped on the membership this year....so any other members see you there at 11

Yeah they posted there will be 2 different lines. Some for just bottles and some for bottles and drafts

Based on the mess the line was last year the membership with the early entry has already paid for itself come Sat. They used the new line format at the anniversary party and it was smooth in the afternoon.

Also I was told there will be more room to drink draft pours as they got a permit allowing people to drink outside in back of the brewery. Rumor has it there might be 3 lines this year total?
Yes they are very strict on no drinking in line. At least it should only be in the mid 70's this year, last year was damn near 100 that day.

That's what I got from it, guests can get pours but will have to go in line for bottles.

Very hard to say. From what I gauge from last year, yes. However, there are two additional variants that the bottle count is not known.

So, I'm a member and have a plus one who is not a member. From what I can gather from Chris's e-mail, my plus one can come in with me at 11, but to put in an order for bottles must get a ticket from the public line.

Curious as to how you guys interpret this, but it sounds to me like order tickets for the public release will start getting passed out before member entrance at 11. So in theory my plus one can grab an order ticket to hold their place in the public line and then pop into the pub with me thereafter. Yeah?

That's how I read it. I'll wait with my guest until they get a ticket and then head in for some pours.
