You didn't go through the line twice?

curious, but did anyone actually manage to get through the line twice to get double allotment? Seems to me all you had to do was make it seem like your wristbands were not cut.

My guess is remainders go to volunteers, friends, and family. Some gets stashed away for VIPs that visit the brewery. Oh, and you see on-site consumption bottles pop up at Warpigs in Denmark too.

Pretty sure they scanned our bands as we went through the line right?

Volunteers get 1 bottle of normal. Variants too? (at Warpigs?)

They definitely scanned my band as I was entering the brewery for bottle pickup, and then when I got the bottles they cut it.

Not a fan of the wristband cutting. Being around hundreds of drunk people(of which you may be one) and having a blade put against your wrist to snip a piece of fabric sounds like an accident/lawsuit waiting to happen.

That's the standard, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few long term volunteers/closer friends of the brewery walk away with a little more.

I went through line 3 times but used 3 different wristbands. Had 2 people bail out the night before and didn't want to bother finding someone else. Also one person still wanted to pay for their allotment so I had to mule it for them.

They cut a specific part of the wristband off, which had a different color and had the Group letter listed, so no way you could get two allotments with one wristband. If your wristband was on too loose to cut that part they tightened it and cut it.

    1. There was no need to have your wristband scanned at the festival entrance or "activated" in order to pick up an allotment.

    2. There seemed to be no way for them to actually validate the name on the wristband, so you could totally re-sell it to anyone or enter without your guest it seemed.

    3. I just cut one wristband off with a scissors, slid the other on, and went through allotment line again. They did scan the wristband at the entrance to the bottle pickup area just before you go up the stairs, but I suppose it would be possible for some people to sneak past.

    4. Before handing you the allotment they grabbed the loose end of the wristband and cut off the portion that shows your sales group.

    5. Not sure on this one, but it seems you probably could have entered through the re-entry gate even on your first entry as long as you didn't want to bring any beer in. I don't think their scanners did anything other than validate it was a valid wristband. I don't think the system was sophisticated enough to track if you went through the main entrance, already got your allotment etc..

I can't speak to all the staff in the warehouse but the guy clipped my wristband with a pair of scissors rather than something like a bowie knife or similar.

I went through A group pick-up, was probably one of the first 50 through. In the morning they had really crappy safety scissors that didn't really work. By the time my friend went through Group C, they were using normal scissors.

A friend of mine put his wrist band on in the morning and cut off the excess. He had a lot of fun explaining that to the staff when he went to go pick up his beer.

I heard someone talking about that in the bottle pick-up line. Was he successful?
