This batch is less sweet/fruity than the previous V4. It’s super hoppy with some nice bite on the finish. Glad I bought 12 so I can see how it evolves!

Oh nice thanks for the info. I should've had one last night to see if I should grab another 4 pack, oh well they'll be canning more. I'm fortunate my office is only 7 miles away.

I'm lucky to have happened across this thread. For those who are familiar I'd like your advice please... there are 2 Philly Beer Week events that I can make it to featuring Une Annee/Hubbard's Cave but I can only fit in one of them so which draft offering is better...

    VI Fresh
    Triple IPA
    Le Seul II - raspberry
Le Seul XXV - mango raspberry
Le Seul XVI - blackberry lemon

    or

    VI Fresh
    Coffee & Cakes
Le Seul XVI - blackberry lemon
    Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien
    Kriek

    Thanks!

2nd one, imo. Kriek is the best beer out of that entire list.

My vote is the second one. But that's because I love Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien, and I highly rated the the VI last time I had it but I wasn't a fan of the triple IPA when I had it. Plus you get the Kriek, and the Blackbery Lemon is at the other one already.

Excellent! The 2nd event is a lot easier to get to as well. Thanks.

I will be here until 3 or 4-ish today. Taking off a lil early to get back to the city and start gettin' the head right for David Byrne tonight. :sunglasses: Definitely say hi if you stop by, I'll be the long haired gentleman off in the corner somewhere.

Nice - I was planning to come by on the early side, so that just might seal the deal.

Grand Monde 2018-4 is super good. I'm loving the trend of adding an ingredient that complements the fruit and cuts some of the extreme sourness. Vanilla did it in 1 and 3 and the black tea in this one is great.

Saw some chatter in the More thread, so wanted to just clear everything up on the Hubbard's Cave front to let you guys know where we are...

All IPAs are going into 16oz cans and being sold in 4 packs now. We did a trial run on V1 when the canning line was delivered, which resulted in about 10 cases. We did not necessarily plan on releasing this but really liked how it tasted, so did a small release (of the few cans we didn't drink ourselves) on Memorial Day.

Canning V4 (Mosaic, Simcoe) last week was the first "full batch" of beer we did, but was still a little on the smaller side as we were working out the kinks of running the canning line on our own for the first time. That one has been for sale in the tap room only since being canned last Wednesday. We canned V7 (El Dorado, Idaho 7) yesterday and it is available in the tap room now. Samarbeid 1.01 (Pulpit Rock collab) - a Passionfruit IIPA with Citra and Mosaic - will be available in cans tomorrow but is available on tap now.

Distribution of the IPAs will resume Wednesday of next week and will include all 3 of the beers mentioned above as well as V15 (Citra, Galaxy), which we will be canning that day. Unless otherwise noted, going forward all of the canned beers will be going to distro the day/week they are packaged like we were doing with the bottles before. Available quantities will likely be very limited in stores for the next few weeks (we anticipate about 40 cases of V4 and about 60-70 cases of the others going out), but we just got a couple of new fermenters and will be scaling production of the IPAs soon.

We also just got a new 7bbl brite because we needed something on the smaller side for finishing some beers that should be ready soon. You can read into that however you'd like. :kissing_heart:

Thanks for the update! I've ditched most IPA bombers so 4 packs is a welcoming news....

Ive been stopping in quite a bit lately and UA/HC is quickly turning into one of my favorite breweries. You cant beat 24 draft lines. The new canning format is a fantastic upgrade, and they will even split a 4 pack of cans for you. So I got 2 cans of v4 and 2 cans of v7 when I stopped in yesterday. They still have bottles of Le Grande Monde 3 which is a remarkable beer. My wife loves all of the fruited sours as well, which is nice since she isnt into IPA's. The vibe inside is also chill, and they often have free food and give you free tasters from bottles going around. Great spot

    @Marksy
When should we expect V15 to be canned. I’m on a Galaxy binge right now lol

Canning V15 tomorrow morning. Deliveries will start going out tomorrow afternoon but the bulk of accounts will see theirs on Thu or Fri. FYI we transferred today and yield ended up being WAY low on this one () so probably around just 50 cases going out.

Can we go straight to the source for some cans tomorrow night?

Thanks for the update! Will cans also be available to go at the taproom when you open Thursday I assume? Do you expect cans at the taproom to last through Friday into the weekend?
