Noon Whistle (IL)

Picked up some G'day gummy at Arlington Heights Binnys yesterday and they had a 1 4-pack limit, hopefully there is still some on the shelves today for anybody interested.

 

Interesting, did not notice that. Picked up a 4-pack yesterday around 8:45pm. Didn't see packs on the shelves (in fact, there were many empty slots on the shelves...) but around 8-10 packs in the cooler. No signage in the cooler or maybe I wasn't paying attention.

 

Big stack of it at the Glen Ellyn store. No limit AFAIK.

Not a fan of this variant of gummy, wish I would of held out and waited on the sticky gummy coming up instead. G’day just feels thin and the finish is off to me. The nose is spectacular and the way it starts on your palate shows there is something there but then it falls off imo. I would not pick this up again.

I wonder what Sticky Gummy is. Sticky Gummy was planned (on their visible brew schedule) for 4/20 but they released the Edible Gummy beer.

 

From what I’ve seen it’s their first triple dry hopped beer they’ve done so far, I forgot the hop bill on it was but it looked good for what I remember.

 

Still waiting for my first good TDH beer...

 

Now you got me thinking, I feel like I’ve enjoyed a tdh beer before and I can’t remeber for the life of me what it was . Turns out it was Penrose Pebbles and I thought it was an above average beer.

 

Wasn't the most recent Marz Citra Citra Citra TDH? I liked it.

 

Yeah that’s fair. Was pretty good the day it came out on draft. I find triple IPA’s and TDH beers both decline rapidly though that’s built on a limited sample size

 

Triple IPAs are tricky - the only ones I've found that I consistently like are Other Half. Unfortunately, I can't just stop at the local shop and grab any of that.

 

G-Day Gummy was rather meh.

 

I thought it was pretty well made.
