I saw!!! I'm so excited. Hoping it's their house yeast strain and not an attempt to make it a NE hazy DIPA. And I'n guessing it'll be draft only. They've released some sours recently so I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped an early May canning.

I like the sound of all 3 of these and all 3 of Fieldwork's being released this weekend lol. Some good stuff going on right now in the Bay... And I need to be strong and resist it all!

Only 72 cases of DD available tomorrow and they are marketing it to the “haze crazers.” Oh well, as long as I can get in grab some ALF and maybe a taste of State of Blending I’ll be happy. Gotta save room in the fridge for the return of Critical Band.

I always thought Critical Band was pretty average, is it just because it's really available more places?

I think critical band is awesome because it’s like $12 a four pack and easy to find! If it was a $20 brewery only release no one would care.

I may be wrong, but their latest IG says that DD is using a neutral ale yeast, so that to me means it's not a juicy beer. But it could just be the normal fusion style Cellarmaker is known for.

Yea I am a little annoyed with the way Cellarmaker is marketing this release. They are describing both beers as neutral ale yeast but marketing towards haze bros. It's like they are worried about creating enough hype? I may be reading too much into it.

It's nicely crushable and a great deal at $12 for a four pack when others are charging 18-22 dollars for similar releases.

@thuey they gotta pump that hype! I'll admit that picture may induce me to pick up some DD cuz that looks straight up delicious...could it be as good as the first bottling?

Ya'll are reading into the "neutral" yeast thing WAY too much. It's their house strain, which they've used for all the dobis releases (to my knowledge), as well as other "juicy" releases from them. Expect tons of pineapple and over-ripe fruit without an overbearing "chalky yeast" character that is common in hazies nowadays.

Basically, it's gonna be great. Don't worry about it.

Got a pour of Alien Lifeform as a taste and can confirm its more of the WC/NEIPA hybrid that they’re known to put out. Great stuff.

    Double Dobis gone!

I picked up two cans of each, which I'll try at another point.

Fair enough. I'll have to pick it up and give it a second tasting the next time I see it, since it was only a 3.75 for me the first time around.

It's like the 4th Anniversary Cellarmaker presents Heavy Metal concert. It's a concert with specialty beers available. Not a beer event, with "background music".

    I'm cool with that.
