    Gloomy cold and rainy this morning. Some coffee to take off the chill;

    Cheers from the Finger Lakes, and have a great day!

    It’s also a bit foggy and cloudy in Britanny. Time to stop for lunch in Saint Malo.

    The beer is admittedly unknown to me. It’s a triple from the 19th district of Paris according to the label.

    Have a great beer and a great day wherever you are!

    This beer is quite alright too. To be honest and beside the most known, I don’t know a great deal about the French craft beer scene. I have my eyes locked on Murica and Belgium. Sometimes the UK and Germany. Cheers.

    Good morning NA BAs and good afternoon Euro BAs! It's another overcast gloomy day here in NW PA - looks like summer! Today's New Breakfast Beer is:

    An aromatic spiced take on an English Strong Ale - pleasing aroma and taste but a bit thin and watery.

    I'm not sure if the kids bought this because it's an APA or for the name Pabst . . .

    Clear deep golden color with white cap.

    Aroma of piney, herbal hops resting on a mild grain base.

    Flavor is hop forward but it doesn't come across as overly bitter. The hop flavors of herbs and pine lean more toward sharpness yet have a touch of citrus like sweetness. Flavors resolve on a dry note but hops are definitely the Belle of the Ball here.

    Hydrating and getting ready to put on woods clothing to go out looking for mushrooms. This beer is available reasonably priced, fresh on the shelf, and I enjoy it as much as beers from Trillium and Tree House.
    [IMG]
    Gonna be looking for these, which aren't native but escaped from captivity and are becoming very widespread, and are even more delicious than the native varieties of oyster mushrooms. Pretty too. Golden Oyster they are called
    [IMG]
    And these, common name black trumpets. Native, very strong flavored and delicious. Hard to find, but worth the search. They grow in leaves in moist woods next to sweet birch and oak.

    Good evening from rainy Germany. Cracking an amazing BA imperial porter - Lorelei from Omnipollo. This is a coconut maple toast imperial porter brewed with toasted coconut and maple syrup. Wish I had another! Cheers!

    Today is a special day which calls for a special beer - but later. 16 yrs ago today I underwent a laparoscopic nephrectomy. Part of me will always be w my little brother. I do not have a beer that old or one w the correct number but I think this will do !
