New Glarus Brewing (2018)

Any idea on volume? The hype around the last time WSA was released and the rate at which SR sold out suggests this will be a statewide (or, at least, southern Wisconsin-wide) shitshow unless volume is huge.

From what I was told you might want to stock up right away. I don’t believe there’s much to go around.

 

Well i’ll be damned. I’m more excited for this than any R&D NG has done in the last two, maybe three years.

 

Damn it. Now I want some of that WSA, too...

 

24 years later and this one's still in service!

 

Interesting, because that's different than the pair I have. The ones I have aren't a typical pint glass, but a bit smaller with a bend in it.

 

I believe this type of glass is known as a Willi Becher glass.

That's quite a change. I didn't think they even kegged stuff like the R&Ds in the past. Hopefully they start doing stuff like this more often. I'm not sure I really need a full pint of a BA quad at 10AM but I'm just lame like that.

 

In other updates: Anyone see Stone Soup in stores yet? I really can't remember how I felt about that one. But I am eager to change things up a bit in the regular rotation, so looking forward to getting some.

Bought it. Drank one last night. Clove flavor, similar to dancing man. It has a minerality to the finish. Something about it reminded me of an Oktoberfest mixed with Dancing Man...

 

This seems like an odd description. Pretty sure it's just a Belgian-Style Pale Ale, albeit a kinda boring one.

 

I'm having trouble finding timing information about tomorrow's R&D release. Do sales start at 10am?

Sales start no later than 10AM. They likely will start earlier if there is a line.

 

It was pretty quiet when I stopped. Weather not great tho. Saw 4 pallets of the 25th, same R&Ds that have been there for a while (gotlandic, sour porter, pommie etc) with Mistral and SR 4 pack each.
No 25th glasses and they said WSA woud be July.
