Man, I'm really digging Belgian styles again lately. I'm glad I found this in my fridge, as I really don't feel like doing more beer shopping tonight.

You might want to dial back that approach a tad. Retirement money comes in handy when one is an old fart like myself, @vabeerguy and some others here. Oh and then there are med expenses too - whee Also nice to be able to say - this costs more than I would normally spend but wtf I'm worth it. Save some for those years down the road so you do not miss out on all the crazy stuff people might be doing.

Doesn't mean to not enjoy the ride, just use some judgement.

Heck yeah, many other brands also had a Light and a Dark (Beck's or Lowenbrau, for example), although I suppose the 'light' part was just colloquial; the companies never really used that language, but that's how everyone else called them.

There were also just a scant few Lite beers, but it was an up and coming category mid 70s-early 80s so there was no real confusion. Bud Light was actually a latecomer, in 1982; until then AB's major lite entry was Michelob Light. Heineken, Beck's, etc., light beers came after that.

We will see, there are so many very good beers available here, it had better be pretty special to turn my head. That does not mean I am not open to experimenting, just has to be over the top for me to get crazy on it. Now if I could get some more New Holland Dragon's Milk Triple Mash at 17% ABV I might break a sweat !

Great Gose! Glad this is back. Flavors of big juicy/lightly tart watermelon, jolly ranchers, lemon, lime, green apples, berries, and sea salt; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread malts; light lacto funk and yeast earthiness. Touch of herbal hops. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light yeast spiciness, fruit tang, and herbal bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced grainy wheat creaminess and lactic acid in the mouthfeel; light salinity. Lightly increasing tart/tangy dryness, never puckering. Super flavorful and refreshing. Really great balance between the watermelon and fruity/lacto yeast. On the sweeter/less acidic side for the style; but still has adequate tartness. What I really love about this is the fact that the watermelon flavors don't have the usual cucumber vibe going on; but it does not feel that artificial either. Will be drinking more than a single pack this year again.

Reformulated version of Tasmanian Hatter. This was outstanding! Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, white grape, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, and pine hops; with some wheat, cracker, white bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Refreshingly drinkable, never aggressive, 6%. Wow, they definitely nailed this one. A lot less malty this time around. Super juicy, vibrant, and dank Galaxy/Mosaic/Nelson Sauvin hop complexity; solid pale/wheat malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. Will be buying again for sure while it's in season! Really impressive improvement of a beer I already loved.

At the Antler Bar and Grill. Enjoying a MAP Brewing Midas Crush IPA and an Outlaw Brewing IPA with my Bison Cheesesteak. Went down to Grand Teton today, did not have the time or energy to make it down to Thai Me Up in Jackson. Sadly
