That explains a lot about the makeup and such.

Been a while since I posted. Have some good ones tonight.

Started out with Groseille... probably one of the last sours my wife will share with me. She has reiterated her dislike of sours so I got all of this one.

Moved on to Dry Hopped Brett Saison. Pretty good for a saison, although it is not high up on my list of preferred styles.

Finished up with an awesome Mosaic Dry Hop Golden Nugget.

Finally getting around to one of these that I'm hoarding in my cellar.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 1/4 inch tan head over an almost black body with some lacing. Small head dissipates to a ring in a few minutes. Nose of bourbon with notes of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, coffee, and oak. Taste mirrors nose with the bourbon taking a backseat to everything else. As it warms the bourbon comes forward a bit, but not overly so. Nice feel, although a tad thinner than I had hoped. Overall, a real nice BBA Imperial Stout. Cheers!

Local store near me has it, and it is relatively inexpensive. Think its worth a try? I can only get it in 4 packs, so I was wondering.

Fantastic red rye IPA as usual this year. Flavors of big tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, peach, mango, melon, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, brown sugar, spicy rye, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy bitterness and rye spiciness on the finish. Balanced hops stickiness and bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable, never overly aggressive, 7.2%. All Falconers Flight/7C's hops, which I always love. Juicy hop complexity with a nice malt backbone, without being too sweet. Still pretty fresh at 3 months old.

Amazing! Insane lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing the whole glass. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty medium roast coffee, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, nutmeg, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, charcoal, and herbal/woody/peppery/pine hops. Light-moderate roast/char and pine/herbal/spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel; with some sticky hops/spice and chalky char/roast. Light-moderate increasing lingering hop/char dryness, minimal acrid/astringent flavors. Mildly increasing warmth of 10.3%. Dangerously smooth. Really fantastic balance between imperial milk stout malt complexity, spices, oak, and coffee. Not overly sweet, with adequate lingering dryness. Hope they brew this one again. Been constantly grabbing the singles that are still around.

Game of Thrones is a polka band from Sheboygan, WI. They drink a lot of tonic, and usually end up fighting with each other on-stage. They played at my wedding.
