Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates (2018)

I shall now associate you with Voldemort...not exactly the company one would usually like to keep.

 

Latest batch of nvu is outstanding (6/6/18). Softer mouthfeel than usual bite and very tropical

 

Hit Dojo today..........

1) Sure Bet is as good as ever
2) Still plenty of BA still available, including Port, Coffee and regular Abduction.
3) Next BA sounds like it might be Last Kiss

 

Any word on when BA Murderous will be released? Figured that one would be next from their recent Instagram post.

 

I've bought 5 Port Barrel Abductions, drank 3 & am cellaring 2. I STILL feel like an idiot for not buying more. I hope I make time to stop in again before someone finally posts "No more port" on this thread...

I don't love 'em all, but overall I really love Pipeworks barrel program.

 

Yeah I would have thought that would have been next. Maybe they'll release Last Kiss and Murderous together. I think there are going to be 3 different BA Murderous.

 

I had a kindly trader send me a Port Abduction that we opened over the weekend. Honestly have no idea why this isn't one of the most sought-after beers in the country. For anyone who likes port, stouts, or beer, this is a must try.

The fact that it has hung around for months almost makes me want to move to Chicago. Almost.

 

Picked up a 4 pack at Dojo yesterday, wish I got more. This stuff is fantastic. Thanks for heads up, I will be hitting Trader Joe's this week hoping they have some left.....

 

I have no idea how Coffee Break is still available. It may be the best BA beer from Chicago since like I don't even know.

PW just tweeted that they'll be announcing future BA releases, and updating stock, on Twitter.

 

Booo. Have to run over there on Friday to scoop up what I can.

 

This is awful news. I loved how they did it before. Now it's going to be a complete dumpster fire all the time...

 

To be fair, they said that the updates will come in their newsletter first, then Twitter. I take this as them telling us what's available first, then if it's sitting for awhile, it will go on Twitter.

I would assume this is just a compromise between keeping it the way it is, and being a massive shit show. At the end of the day, they are a business that wants to move product and make a bigger, quicker profit. It's easier to do that with a public announcement.

 

Sounds like I need to make one more Abduction run before the locusts descend.

 

Sounds like everyone should have made these extra purchases BEFORE Pipeworks felt like they had to do more marketing to move these BA beers! Too many people recognizing that the beer is awesome (and they are) and how lucky we are that they are just sitting around forever...

 

Port and Coffee Abduction have been there 3 months. Pdubs prob didnt expect them to sit for this long. Im fine as long as bottles last a few weeks. Their barrel program is expanding each year and as mentioned above me, they want to turn the product over quicker than it has.

And possibly, the quicker this sells, the sooner we might see some BA Murderous!

 

I thought it was fine. I enjoyed regular and cherry abduction much more, and think BA Hyper Dog is the standout coffee stout they make.
