The double shots were crazy good. I’m not a huge adjunct stout guy either, but S’mores DS was surprisingly my favorite of the night along with HOTS. Julius with vanilla was wildly good. The biggest surprise for me though was Super Sap with guava. Almost passed on it since I’m not huge on Super Sap anyways. But the guava addition was actually amazing. Julius with passion fruit was a bit of a let down though.

I thought these parties would be the perfect time to bring out Good Morning, juice machine, and/ or king Jjjulius. I expected some of those old favorites over the one-offs. Actually got the chance to ask Nate about GM and aside from the craziness it would bring, he said it required a 20 hour brew day and they only just got DS down to 10 hours

Interesting. I knew both beers required an exceptional amount of time but didn't realize it was that much. Still think we see GM before the end of the year.

Given that the tickets were free, included a cool glass, free tshirt, case limit on VG, extra GGG, and let those people have 8! of the ~special~ beers instead of the 1 or 2 beer limit that Tuesday goers would be looking at, anyone who went to the party getting mad over some sharing of the wealth with the common folk this week would deserve a lifetime ban lol.

Now if you want to talk legitimate bones to pick, sounds like yesterday's DDs got done a bit dirty, though ultimately I'd like to think anyone who had a friend dd would do the cool thing and hook them up with the extra special aspects of the haul.

Yeah, all of that plus there were so few that won tickets. Not really enough people to cause an "extravaganza of butthurt"

One thing to be a bit "boastful" about getting a ticket (albeit that it was pure luck). After enjoying the spoils, getting butthurt about someone not as lucky from enjoying a few leftover scraps, relatively speaking, is just being a pretentious prick.

we got there around 3:00 and by the time we were on our second pour there was still 15 people waiting to check in, definitely get there early to check in. also what was your favorite one off? the julius with guava smelled like gummy bears, it was nuts, but the julius with vanilla was my favorite. probably my favorite "milkshake" beer to date.

Julius with Vanilla and S’mores double shot were definitely my favorites from both the “hop” and “stout” categories. Julius with vanilla is the only milkshake that has ever competed with double vanilla from Tired Hands for me. The perfect amount of vanilla to make it sweet, creamy, and thick without being overbearing like Permutation 40 was.

Well I think if there’s enough left over after the three sessions they would kind of have to offer it to everyone else. If for no other reason than to get rid of it. I don’t know how precisely they planned the amounts of beer though. I, for one, would have 0 problem with that. But of course, as we know with the Tree House fan base there will some entitled people who no doubt complain.

Also heard someone say that they drew 150 tickets per session. Which with a +1 and DDs would line up with my personal estimate of about 300 people. Still wonder how many entries they got. Had to be thousands

I would imagine that it would be easier to re-do the Julius and Sap variations if there are batches of those beers coming out in the coming weeks. Or make new variations for each party (people would be butt hurt about that too, right?). I'd imagine Double Shot will be from the same batch given that they only brew it so often. That'd be my guess.

I would be interested to know how many golden tickets they issued and of those how many were no-shows. Or if it was like an RSVP system, if they got no response from a winner did they move on and draw a new winner? Wishful thinking perhaps I could still receive an invite for final session ha !

Seems to be a TH anniversary party tradition. The party a couple years ago had approximately half a billion Double Shot variants.

I'll be honest I didn't realize Gggreennn wasn't a double IPA until I was done and looked at the can in amazement. Flavor town USA

I wasn't lucky enough to win a ticket to one of the parties but I appreciate that TH is doing this the right way... Free entry, free glass/shirt, free pour of Lights On while you wait. Also, the lottery is probably the most fair way to handle the attendees. That tap list looked amazing and full of a bunch of beers that will likely never been seen again. Don't let the petty gripes from a few of the self-entitled here get under your skin @DigitalNate

To give a little perspective, The Other Half Green City event next weekend is $100 entry ($300 VIP). The regular ticket gives "Ability to buy Green City gear and glassware".
