Got it. So SR-71 is going to be a blind release on shelves of random liquor stores misidentified in Prarie packaging. We won't know when or where but someone somewhere will open a case of Prarie and find a few bubble wrapped bottles of TG Stout. I'll alert my squad.

 

Much to the surprise of many of us, there are apparently several areas where BA Prairie sits on shelves.

I'm less shocked by that than the meteoric rise in prices of TG stouts though. Love reading the old threads about when TG stouts were cheap.

If you guys watch this thread, you know that I am not one to jump on these type of comments by TG. But what they are doing for the SR "silent release" just rubs me the wrong way.

I feel like there's just a more graceful way of doing the silent release. Like, literally saying that you'll announce it at midnight at some point, and then just announce it and be done with it when it's time.

Just seems excessive. Can there even get more hype behind that release?

 

Is it still a silent release if you talk about it every couple days? Just wait until the inevitable shitshow blows up and hundreds of angry fanboys are shut out followed by "It was never our intention..." responses on social media. No one stops the hype machine from grinding us up in its gnashing teeth.

 

I wonder how many people are in line....

 

I saw this and just shook my head. SR-71 or a beer like it may, or may not be released tomorrow or in the next couple days, weeks and we will let you know at midnight.

 

The only thing that irritates me is that the tweet suggests an intention to have people leave there house at midnight and thus not "sleep well".
