Arrived at the destination for the time being. This is ice cold and doing a good job at combating the heat. Cheers all!

Full earth dipa by old nation. Smelled like a dank fart when I opened it initially but that quickly went away. It's a very smooth drinker at 9%, but doesn't taste like juice to me. It has a decent bitterness with some earthy notes (but my palate has been shit lately, so maybe it's just me) good stuff

Really kinda disappointed. I thought these guys were supposed to be great at IPAs. This one smelled like feet and baby powder and tasted like rinds and bitter forest.

Maybe i was expecting too much. Not a fan. I did however get a couple crowlers of hazelnut coffee porter! Yum! Definitely go for their dark beers.

Easily the most controversial beer of the evening.

Moving on to a beer I absolutely love but a vintage I have not had before. I was saving this for a different occasion but tonight felt right.

    06-22-12 batch

Tons of yeasty floaters oaky feels a bit on the thin side cherry is fighting to come out. A bit past its prime but still a nice beer.

Listening to a bunch of different things from Wire. Meds have kicked in and the pup is now feeling good and sleeping.

Thanks for all the kind words

    Enjoy

No kitchen service at Sovreign, so it's one beer and on to the next place. Bear Necessities is inspired by a young man nicknamed Bear who I actually knew who passed away from cancer over 25 years ago, so i can rationalize something good coming out of my late night Thursday alcoholism.
