They do sell bottles at the Public House to go, they don't always have everything they have at the Production Brewery, which is why I don't think they manage the list on the website. They will sometimes have things they don't have at the Production Brewery at the Public House. Either way, they aren't particularly far from eachother, so you could do both.

They do, but the selection is usually better at the Production Brewery, which is less than a mile away. It's definitely worth stopping if you're interested in taking bottles home.

    Thanks @djtothemoney & @masterofsparks
My main issue is time. I'm not sure how much time I'll have there and I'll be arriving before the brewpub opens (assuming that's the same thing as the Production Facility). Glad to hear they'll have something though.

They are not actually the same thing. The Production Brewery is a separate facility altogether (I'll admit, the website doesn't make this very clear.)

The Brewpub is right next door to the Public House, they have a smaller taplist, and a different menu (even though they are literally next door). The Production Brewery is about a mile away (listed as Taproom on their website).

The Public House has the largest draft list of the three, the Taproom (Production Brewery) has the best bottle selection.

Thought about it. Also thought this place would be clearer when they didn’t bother basic question on their site.

Don’t think too hard. I know it’s pretty tough to even imagine making a 1-minute phone call in 2018

If you have followed this thread at all, you probably have already seen recommendations to eat at the "downtown" location. (I've only been once, so I admittedly forget whIch location is called what). That said, if you have the time, I strongly encourage you to take the time out. It's great food (especially during the summer when local produce is easier to come by), and fair priced. Everyone is very nice.

Even if I had no intention on buying any to-go bottles, if it would cost me less than an hour -out of the way detour- I would detour to go.

This place isn't the end all be all - I don't want to oversell it (some reviews in this thread have), but it is definitely worth it.

I had the cheese curds. The cheese itself was great - it was a farmer's cheese (as I recall), which I do enjoy. Good breading, good frying, great dipping (whatever you chose). It was clearly of high quality and the dish itself made in house. That said, I really didn't then (or now) understand the cult-like following that dish has in this thread. Maybe it's just a personal preference thing. Best in the category I have had, but I didn't orgasm or anything, which I sort of expected from the reviews.

I've never had any food or beer that's even gotten be erect, but if someone is saying they are the best cheese curds they've ever had, I'd be curious.

The location you are talking about with the Curds is the Public House.

Public house, yeah. They're definitely the best I've had but I'm not going to act like I've toured Wisconsin sampling the best the country has to offer or anything.

I've definitely had food that just makes me crazy happy that I am eating it. I'll drive up to 90 minutes out of the way for this Chinese restaurant in Evansville, In. They make everything themselves, including their monster eggrolls. They are fucking amazing.

I get that other people may not feel that way, and maybe that's how people feel about the cheese curds, but that's what I'm talking about with the 'orgasm' comment.

Similarly, the other night I cooked a steak that was probably the best steak I've ever had - and I've been to high class steak houses. I'm proficient at cooking steak, but that night it was just sublime. I must have mentioned to my wife 6 different times during/after dinner how good it was, and then still the next day when we were making coffee, and again during dinner commented again on how superb it was.

By the way, that was actually my exact response when I had Cellar Cuvee 11. One of the most memorable beers that I have ever had, and just blew me away. Anyone that reads this thread knows that I don't glorify every JO beer. That were was just sublime. Sad I have none left. Probably a top 5 beer.

I know this is last minute, but can anyone give me a recommendation about which JO saisons that are currently around my wife and I might like if we have enjoyed:

    JO - pockets of sunlight
    GI - Sofie
    Suarez - slow bustle
    Suarez - post script

I know we aren't a fan of big brett heavy beers.

Ideally only have about 2-3 hours to get a family member to stop on their way home from work, as we'll be visiting (Cincinnati) tomorrow, but likely no time to stop ourselves.

I know this might be a shot in the dark.

Do you know where by chance?

Called Butch's, Marathon, Hyde wine and spirits. Those have always been my big go tos. Also, when I was looking for crowlers yesterday, didn't see it on the bottle list at a couple of the stores that do crowlers fht keep their bottle list up.

I've been really happy to see the steady flow of lagers at the Brewpub/Public House and in limited distro recently. Lost Marbles was a nice and unique hoppy pilsner and Gold Denim is close to an ideal Dortmunder for me. I'm still kicking myself for missing out on the last run of Pilsaaz a couple of months ago though.

Sorry I just saw this, but I don't recall where I saw it either, so it wouldn't have been much help.
