they've only had can releases like 5 times in the 2 years they've been open... I'm sure they will improve that process if/when cans become a more regular thing...

re: growler vs pour lines - it's not like they have a big enough set up to do what Kane does, for example.. not sure how that would work / be beneficial - there's only the 8 taps, all with different beers as it is. so there's no dedicated tap lines for just growlers... considering there's usually 4-6 people pouring beers when its busy, it's usually not that bad... I think flights slow things down way more...

You're right it's only been a few releases, but they can work on streamlining it. I also agree that they'll figure it out.

I've waited on line for a drink, but never for an amount of time that made me think they are "poorly run". This includes can release and anniversary days.

Hey, you've got the right to gripe about someplace's policy, but it's not "policing" for someone to give a different opinion on the situation.

Also, it sounds like they offered you a solution by mentioning the plastic water cups. If someone wants to try a sip of someone else's drink, that seems sufficient.

Gotta love people who complain about gatekeeping while they gatekeep.

The "Policing" comment is a reference to his name, sorry you missed that.

He was just being clever. If only he could have been clever as to overcome his glass dilemma.

Honestly, I could see you being annoyed you didn't get your glass. No one likes to be denied what they want. Still, it's surprising you ran to BA to complain about it more than anything. There were so many solutions to your "issue". 1) Use the plastic cup 2) Let her sip from your glass 3) Buy a 4 oz taster of it 4) Have her ask the bartender for a taste. Instead, you went 5) Be annoyed, whine on the internet about it and throw the brewery under the bus as "poorly run" cause you didn't get a glass and had to wait on a short line for a beer.

    We are an entitled bunch.

I mean, I generally roll my eyes at a lot of IPAPolice posts, but he's hitting the nail on the head here.

Saying a business is poorly run because they wouldn't give you a taster glass so you can split a half pint (which again is cheaper than 2x 4oz tasters) is just super petty.

As for the wait, i wasn't there so i can't say anything to it, but I've been there on slammed packed days where it's very much standing room only and never waited more than 5 minutes to be serviced which speaks to me as being pretty efficient.

You gotta let people have their opinion. You've annoyed everyone enough in the Magnify and Equillibrium threads to know better by now. I made one observation yet you seem to be the one who can't let it go.

Whoa. Hate to see the bad experience, especially when it’s so far from what I’ve seen here. I get the line thing, I’ve waited in them myself and wished they’d split flights/growler fills with regular pours. But I get it.
The glassware thing I’m not seeing so much, but to each their own.

Anywayyy finally got to stop by and try some new ones.

Vigo is awesome (for me). It’s super coffee-forward. Reminds me of the first time I had FBS. A nice balance from the lactose - a bit less sweet than Diamonds and Pearls

Tongue Tied was super interesting. Very floral, and almost like biting into a fruit. The characteristics reminded me almost of a dry white wine

Hefen on Earth I was not impressed at all with, unfortunately. Reminds me of like a Pyramid Hefe, if you’ve had that. Not much Hefe qualities in there for me

Agree 100% on Vigo. I was very impressed. I really like TE's Milk Stouts. Diamonds and Pearls is one of the best I've ever had and Vigo's impressive!

I liked Vigo quite a bit - I find Diamonds to be a bit too sweet for my taste, gets to be a little cloying before the end of a glass, but Vigo had a great balance of bitter roasty coffee & malt, and just enough sweetness to balance it, almost imperceptible. nice that its lower ABV to boot.

If they didn't bill Hefen as a Hefeweizen I would have thought it was a nice light summery, citrusy crusher. did lack the typicity of a Hefe, but I think they also said they deliberately avoided or toned down the banana/clove flavors?

i wonder if they somehow managed to increase can production. not really worth it to line up an hour early for 1 4pk, i'll just nab a 64oz growler.

though admittedly I have been slacking on TE trips, i have too much beer to drink at home :slight_frown:

rare they would have the same beer in cans and draft at the same time... I get your point though, but I'm so close I don't mind popping in for just a 4 pack which I can enjoy at my own leisure as opposed to a 64 oz growler I need to finish in 1-2 days...

seem they are not keen on having people coming in for just 1 4pk of cans - which is why they have done two different cans at a time more recently, or added the bottled sour and a glass, etc, to make it more worth the trip. maybe there is a surprise in store...
