has anyone had the Brickstone hazy IPAs? Looks like they are going to start canning them, per their instagram.

let's start with the understanding that i'm a complete moron. most people know that. so when i ask this, be gentle.

but are the hubbard's cave versions not sequential? i assume no -- i see some stores got bottles of both v7 and v15 at the same time. how exactly do those things work? to what are the monikers pegged?

I had Triple H (Haze Haze Haze) at the brewpub and I thought it was excellent. I would buy a 4-pack for sure.

This confused me too when I first started drinking them. Each version is a different hop combination.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I THINK its that any new hop combo gets a new V number, and any version that uses a previously used hop combo gets the previous V number.

I like their stuff, but their branding confuses the hell out of me, and their are sometimes I’ll just opt for something else for that one reason.

i like it. reminds me of coming across a weird industrial techno vinyl single at the record store and being like wtf is this and just buying it out of mystery.
i like minimal aesthetics in general though.

I enjoyed Triple H. I personally need to see them have a transparent date coding before I buy their cans again

Hubbard's Cave should do a fresh by Julian code V series for science.

Penrose has Strawberry Vice (Midwest Vice with Vanilla, Lactose and Fresh Strawberries) on-tap at Geneva Swedish days, fucking fantastic.

They will have Double Mango Dorado (Midwest Vice with Vanilla, Lactose and lots of Mango) on tap at the festival Friday, and will be canning it next week.

I love the minimal design. I want the same white label on all black cans.

I am drinking Hop Nawi now and it is fresh and fantastic. Agree, a great hop combo, super aroma and flavor. I will definitely be adding this to my regular rotation.

The wife and I will be at Swedish Days tomorrow and I can't wait to try these. Midwest Vice was a very underappreciated NE IPA and one of my top 3-4 hazy beers this year.

King of Borgs is the most well structured New England ipa I’ve had in Chicago.

Is it the thickest, the most aromatic, or the juiciest? No. But at about 10 days old, this has become the most drinkable hazy beer I’ve come across in Illinois.

Oddly enough, buckledown made one like this 6 months ago that was kind of similar. It had this kind of approach, just wasn’t quite executed as well as this one.

There are several good hazys being made around herewith intense flavors and fun attributes, but most of the time I drink my 1 or 2 cans and reach for one of my traditional stand by IPAs or a lager. This King of Borgs is another story. I’m wishing I had more, tonight, tomorrow, and next week.

I’ve been a fan of a few of them. I think they’ve made 4 or 5. I’m 50/50 so far. The two I liked, I really really liked. Knowing the guys at Brickstone, they are one to look out for. They’ve got a couple perfectionists at the wheel. There’s a reason they’ve won so many medals at WBC and GABF.

Maplewood has a bunch of good stuff on right now. Husky Pants, Juicenstein, and the Brut IPA are all top notch.

Also as far as that other conversation about brewery bathrooms, I like Maplewood bathroom the most. The light up palm tree is a nice touch.

I bought 2 4 packs of King of Borgs, and as I was walking to my car I had a pang of regret...that's too many of the same beer for me. I like to have a variety of different stuff in my fridge. I even thought about making my first ever trade on here with the 2nd 4 pack.

Kinda wish I had bought more now...if I see another 4 pack in the wild I'm grabbing it.

    I hope this isn't a one-time only brew!!

I very rarely buy 24 packs of the same beer anymore but I'm kind of wishing I would have bought more of this as well. Very well done.
