Beer shop finds.

Oh cool, nice to know they have their own brewery now! That sounds vaguely familiar but I could just be imagining I heard something about that. I believe Dorchester Brewing Co was a fairly recent development for them in their saga of contract brewing.

 

I've been following Backlash on instagram. Apparently they've been brewing for distribution at their own facility since April (although they may be simultaneously brewing at Dorchester Brewing too). The opening of the taproom seems imminent based on recent posts. Looking forward to visiting!

Glad to hear things are coming along for them. Backlash is weirdly under the radar, but they've always made good beer.

Yeah, 2017 BCBS, 2017 brandy wine, 2017 whatever that blueberry one was, 2014 4pk of Barleywine for $60!!!! And whatever the new barrel aged 2018 beer is.

 

$13 for the BCBS, $20 for the Brandy wine.

The black boxes are regular and the two redish boxes on the left are Barley wine, like you said. I'm curious if the box amongst the regular BCBS is actually coffee BCS?

Blueberry is indeed northwoods. Wasn't something I liked the sound of previously so couldn't recall the name.

The 2018 one (sorry for the vagueness) is the big cases on top that say "Goose island barrel house collection."I honestly didn't get a proper look at them as toddlerfrombelmonty was shouting loudly about "MY PENIS NEEDS A PEE!!!"

Good eye! I didn't even notice the three other cases or associate them to GI. I never had any of the three Coopers. Did any of the Cooper stuff make it to MA (besides these three cases)?

I think the scotch ale did but I don't recall seeing the blonde doppelbock or the porter.

 

I was able to snag Second Fiddle (canned 10 days ago!), some Whirlpool and a DDH Singlecut IPA that were pretty fresh at Kappys Falmouth. All of the Maine Beer co stuff was 2 months +

 

Looks like the Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Hop Pack finally hit the Boston area. Grabbed a 12-pack at the Chestnut Hill Wegmans, $14.99.

Also, Tipopils cans at CBC Fenway.

 

Great deals on The Bruery and Central Waters' awesome beers at Winooski Bevy, VT right now! Also, 3F seems to be doing some drops there as well.

 

Went to a friend's place in Hopkinton this past Sunday. I don't get down there often so I had to stop at Julio's. Found Central Waters Cassian Sunset and Peruvian Morning. As well as KBS and ET Even More JCS. Not exactly Summer sippers but I couldn't pass em up.

 

The IPA in this is the haziest beer I've seen from Sierra Nevada (more than Holiday Haze or Hazy Little Thing). Downright murky.
