Anybody spot this in Ann Arbor yet?

 

Just picked up my four pack at Rileys in Madison. Looked like I was the first to do so. They had one case allocated to people that asked for it before hand and then 2 cases for others. Back behind the counter.

 

Anyone come across any in Ohio yet?

 

Picked up my first pack of this at Riley's in Madison today... about to take a sip now. Super excited, it smells off the hook!!

 

Got mine there today, and as of 1 hour ago...

 

Wow, that sold out fast!! Glad I decided to walk over there when I did!

And you're right, the bourbon notes are definitely there now. Loving it

 

Binnys in Chicago sold out, every store I called either didn't get it or sold out and day no more is coming...weak

 

I thought this is the same as KBS or Devil Dancer in Chicago, around $22 a 4 pack? Am I wrong here?

 

Yep, $12-$15 a 4 pack round these parts.

 

Ok I had my first Backwoods Bastard of this season and is it just me or does this years taste a lil ...idk kinda blan from last years ? Not that its bad but doesn't seem to have quite the flavor or kick as it did last year. But I have a bunch of this so if anyone is ISO, just BM me.

 

I wouldn't know where that is because like a lot of people on BA for some reason you don't list where you're from (big pet peeve of mine)

 

Lol I don't know why but that really bugs me too.

 

I think it should be mandatory when you create a user, at least the state! Just love reading threads that say "around here", "by me", etc, etc!

 

So true. A big part of why I like BA is to see the different beer trends by region.

And $14.99 in Chicago. Was a total pain to even nab a 4pack.

 

I somehow had not had this before, think it had to do with my dislike of scotch ales, but I think it is quite delicious. Not as bourbony as I thought, but still a good amount that works well with the rest of it, not as overpowering as I figured it'd be from people's testimonials on here. 14.99 retail here in central illinois.
