I've actually been a couple times in the last year. Wasn't a huge fan of the beer, but the space was great!

Am a big fan of Collins (beer and food are both good), and would also recommend it... provided the OP isn't driving. By game time, traffic and parking will both be miserable that time of the day (game time).

I'm not sure there is a place near you that meets both your needs.

As a sports fan, when there's an event I want to watch, I want a good TV, and decent beer. Most of the craft beer hot spots fall short in the TV department. For beer, I like the Pine Box a lot, and have been to Collins Pub a few times. Neither would be my choice to watch a game.

Sports bars in your neighborhood with better TVs include Stout, on 11th, near Pine, and The Yard House, downtown on 4th near Pike. Neither will have a beer list that sets a beer geek to drooling, but they've both got a lot of taps, and you should find something.

I’ve been to Yard House a couple times and I thought the tap list was really good.

Mirage is becoming one of my favorite local breweries. All these killer lagers and really impressive IPAs. I should probably get one of his large size saison bottles, too.

I would appreciate any favorite breakfast / coffee spots. Headed out next week and feel like I have beer + lunch + dinner options covered.

Blue Star in Wallingford (a few blocks west of Bottleworks) has great breakfast. The migas and chilequiles are killer.

Toronado does brunch on the weekends, haven’t been but it looks really good.

My favorite coffee is Herkimer on The Ave, in Phinney and South Lake Union.

I like to hit Sea Wolf for bread, coffee, and/or pastries. Eating area is right inside the bakery but there is a patio too. It's within walking distance from Fremont Brewery.

If you're here on a Sunday, you could get food at the Ballard farmer's market and walk over to Reubens/Stoup/Obec/all that stuff.

Propolis is normally at the Ballard market, too.

I'm actually not that huge on chocolate, but their chocolate croissant might be one of the single best pastries I've ever eaten.
I miss living around the corner.

I'm heading out to Seattle this August for business. My plan is to take off on Friday and hit up some breweries before catching a flight back.

Holy Mountain definitely looks like a winner & I'm planning to go there regardless. While in the area, is it worth hitting the other breweries?

Ideally, I'd like to come home with some cans or bottles from some of the top breweries mentioned (Holy Mountain, Urban Family, Reuben, Cloudburst, Fremont...)

Do all these breweries distribute cans/bottles to bottle shops in town?

Also, if you have any recommendations on other beers to look for while in bottle shops, that would be dope!

Bottle shop recommendations are also welcome. I'll most likely be somewhere close to Pike Place.

    Thanks!

You probably won’t find many Holy Mountain bottles around town (depending on the release schedule) and you certainly won’t find any cans outside of the brewery or the gray market. Urban Family bottles show up in bottleshops. Fremont and Reuben’s six packs are available almost everywhere in the city. Reuben’s tall boys of hazies are harder to come by. AFAIK, Cloudburst is draft only.

A couple of interesting newer breweries to keep an eye on are Matchless and Mirage. Tall boys are at most bottleshops.

Based on your expected location, I would go to Chucks Hop Shop at 2001 E Union St.

Cloudburst does crowlers but it's only whatever beer they're feeling like filling that day. If any.

Hold the Phone, @distantmantra ! Since Cloudburst started crowlering(?), a current IPA and a second option has been available for sale every single day at the tasting room with one exception (we ran out on a Saturday a few weeks ago).

While I'm here, I'll also let you BA peeps in on 2 tips our regulars already know: First, you can always reserve 1-2 crowlers on a given week by emailing [email protected] a couple days in advance and she's happy to hold them for pick up. Second, if you desire more than 2, you can email [email protected] and place an order. You just have to get the order in by Monday afternoon of the week you want them. So there's that.

Bonus points for spelling the name of the Market correct

And my only amendment to Super...etc. post is that you'll usually be able to find bottles of the Holy Mountain flagship stuff around town, but for anything at all irregular your best bet is just to enjoy a glass at the brewery. Actaully same could be said for Reuben's as well, while most stuff Fremont or Urban Family bottle/can I feel like are around and about somewhere. Cloudburst is crowlers at the brewery as Mr.s Luke and mantra mention above.

The Gorge at Hood River, or the gorge where the amphitheater is?

"Noteworthy" is probably open to interpretation. I haven't been to the NP in quite some time, so maybe things have changed/improved, but the short answer is no. Not once you're East of Tacoma. So I would stock up there before drivimg towards the coast (I'm assuming you're heading south initially from Seatac).

Heading East, Snoqualmie Falls brewing is arguably worth a stop. If you're a Northern Exposure fan, Roslyn is just off the interstate. You can stop off at the Brick. or maybe visit the Rosalyn brewing taphouse. Otherwise, I would recommend that you stock up on provisions in the Seattle area (I'm assuming that this is a camping trip).
