Jackie O's (2018)

No worries. Never a big deal . I appreciate any and all responses.

 

Anyone know whether Bonneville is going to be very hoppy or not. American style sounds like 3 Floyds Behomoth or the last Great Lakes barleywine (hoppy). But knowing Brad and with 18 months of barrel time, I suspect that this will be closer to an english style.

Also, does anyone know if it will get distro?

Anybody have their guesses about the appervation release? I'm surprised there hasn't been more anticipation for this since announced

 

I suspect people are very excited but it's being cut by how the last release went. With how fast it sold out I don't think anyone is looking forward to the process of actually acquiring it since it's probably going to command a significant wait.

 

Or people are just waiting for them to announce the date before getting all hyped up...

 

Any idea when BB Oro and Coffee Oil is coming out?

I know their release calendar says June for Coffee Oil and July for BB Oro, but it looks like they're not going off that.

Coffee Oil of Aphrodite usually has pretty decent distro in SE Ohio and I haven't heard a peep about it.

 

I'd imagine everything was pushed back a bit while they get caught up on the new bottling line, etc.

BB Oil came out recently so I'd expect Oro and Coffee in the near future.

 

BB Oil was fantastic, but Coffee Oil is my favorite Jackie O's beer. I will buy multiples of it.

 

I thought this latest batch of BB Oil was by far the best it's ever been. Huge amounts of bourbon and walnuts

 

I'm salivating at the thought of BB Coffee Oil.

 

Man, this sounds amazing. Unfortunately with a 3 week old at home and not much to trade, I doubt I'll ever get a taste of this.

 

$15.99 a bottle... I'm out.

Same price as Appervation, DB Oil, DB Dark App, DB Black Maple, and Vision is Lost. This is not a cheap beer to produce.

 

And Antik, which is also one of my sleeper favorites.

 

I totally understand that. I was all in on Jackie O's BA stuff in the past, but I'm backing off until I get some more confidence in the product. I know they made it right and all that, but it really turned me off on their BA offerings. I'll stick to finding their stuff on tap and visiting the brewpub instead of buying bottles.

 

Needs to find me a trade!

 

No word yet on BB Oro release?

 

From an Instagram reply: "Pending our pasteurizer commissioning, Bourbon Barrel Oro Negro is slated for early September."

 

Thanks, I hadn't seen that. Guess my next trip to Athens will not be as soon as I originally thought.
