King Sue 4-packs at Fort Point Market and CBC Fort Point today. $19.99 for a 4-pack at Fort Point Market.

I'm curious to try this—mostly because dinosaurs—but hard to be excited about a $20 four pack when I can get Trillium IPAs for $17 and DIPAs for $20. Pseudo Sue at $11 a four pack is much more interesting to me.

Really? I feel like the price is pretty fair considering it's on par with Trillium IMO. Trill would probably sell that beer for $22 a 4 pack

King Sue 4 packs are $18.99 plus dep at Redstone.

Not sure if one dollar less moves the needle for anyone.

I wouldn't buy more than a single of that either. I don't 4 pack any single beer at trill over fifteen dollars. 99% of the time I mix a 4 pack and head out. That may end up somewhat expensive but I find more value in the variety .

Anyone pop a King Sue can? Comparable to previous batches? KS is one of my favorites and the pricing in cans makes it a much easier decision to make.

King Sue is a DIPA fwiw. Pricing is very in line with competitors of the beers stature. King can have a bit of hop burn off the line. It will be drinking remarkably in about a weeks time

Right, but it's a 7.8% DIPA, so, at least to me, I would expect it to fall closer in price to something like Congress Street than Mettle.

Either is a tremendous waste of money so go ahead and treat yourself.

Ha! True. And I will definitely pick up a four pack when I see one. I was just hoping that, in the same way Pseuodo Sue was a bargain compared to, for example, FPPA, King Sue would be similarly priced.

    My translation:
Congress St is good, Mettle is good, King Sue is great . . . ignore post from oldgrump

Why would it be more expensive? I haven't purchased cans in about a month or two, and I haven't actually checked, but I thought Trillium didn't mark up singles? They just took the 4-pack price and divided it by 4.

They don't mark up singles .I just meant if I pick up 2 separate 5 dollar cans a 4.25 and a 3.25 it comes out to $17.50, which is more than I will pay for a 4 pack of a single beer there. The variety is worth the extra $2.50 that I don't deem a 4pk of only Congress to be .

Kiiiinnndaaa with ya. I rarely buy a full 4 pack of $20-22 beers at Trillium. Love their beer but jeez it's expensive. I will make a 1 time exception for KS in cans though, I love that beer. But probably won't ever buy a full 4 pack again at that price. Just like I wont pay $15 for a bomber of it.

By the way, if anyone sees KS anywhere around Waltham/Newton/Watertown let us know.
