Opened one of my bottles last night. No signs of a leak. Can confirm it was absolutely delicious.

 

As someone who's wax dipped 1000's of bottles for a couple breweries here in STL, I can tell you that this happened after the bottles hit the wax. There no way leaky bottles would make it off the bottling line into boxes without someone knowing. Alternatively, if it was leaking , the person dipping it would have known instantly because whatever liquid on that bottle would have instantly vaporized in the melted wax causing loud pops, sizzles and a bubbly mess of the wax....same thing as getting water into a deep fryer.

Whoever was on the wax dipping crew let those bottles that are leaking in the wax for too long. The heat of melted wax is enough to break the cap seal. The bubbles in that wax are proof because when that wax is cooled and formed , the pressure in a bottle will is not enough to break the wax or even move it. That bubble was formed when the wax was still hot. Amateur dip crew

Great insight, thanks. TG likes the really thick wax look so they submerge the bottles longer. All those with bottles better drink up soon!

Where is the thread to share the infinite number of ways to re-purpose your box?

 

My wife is not a fan of this method of repourposing boxes, even though she loves recycling. I've even tried it with Coach boxes and pizza boxes and...

No dice.

 

I don't post pics here because it's a friggen PITA, but I took mine to work and cut a custom shape mat window to match the MD logo. Used a gritty black asphalt texture mat and it in a black burl frame to give it a 'barrel look' and some conservation glass to prevent fading. Looks great over the doorway in the kitchen.

 

Wow--put our sarcastic asses to shame. Actually would love to see a picture.

 

If you really want to see it there's a pic of it in my UnTapd check in for 2017 MD. And it looks like it was a brown burl frame to match the accents. Lol.

 

That was a pain to find, but it looks awesome!

 

I'm surprised there isn't more conversation regarding these posts. Can anyone else chime in on anything they've heard? If another bottling coming out is true, it not only contradicts what Toppling Goliath tweeted about the public not seeing this again for 5 years, but also pretty much mindfucks this past release's entire existence.
