Veritas is $35 now??! Ouch. Did they raise the price to justify the increase in the Barrel Night ticket price or verser vicer?

I did a search for McCall cognac and found nothing. Anyone heard of it? I don't think I have ever tried a fruited barleywine before. Trying to stay optimistic.

Edit: Genesis 15:15 had fruit in it and it was pretty tasty imo. Can anyone think of others?

Think it's been $35 for the last couple releases.

I'm willing to bet v011 is an angels share base, which technically can be categorized as a Barleywine.
I'll be there sun evening for a late birthday celebration

The base beer is not the base beer for Angel's Share. It's a new American Barleywine recipe they created for the cognac barrels. But yes, an American Barleywine can technically be categorized as a Barleywine

One of my friends who was using one of my +1's as his ticket for Saturday's event has been forced to bail on this. Thing is, he still wants his bottle(s) of Veritas. So I have a ticket to the event that is up for sale if anyone is interested in partaking in the festivities but doesn't want to spend the full ticket price. I have an idea of what might be a reasonable exchange, but as it gets later and the ticket remains unspoken for, you could pretty much name your price. Should be a great time, with really good beer, food, and people.

Call or text me at 951-536-9391 if you want in. I'll be heading down to SD during the late afternoon (but should have my phone with me all day), so we'd have to meet up at the event, or just right before. And if you're cool, we'll even let you hang with us and share some good shit we're bringing, like Guatemala Acatenango Gesha coffee Black Tuesday 2011, french-pressed with home-roasted coffee (one of the best coffees in the world). That shit's da bomb, yo!

This might be a dumb question... But is Veritas only available for purchase at the scheduled events?

Not seated this year, which is great imo

    Going Sunday.

Going to go down early and hit a few other places.

Is anyone interested in a "pre tasting tasting" somewhere? I can bring down several bottles....many out of Colorado that I recently picked up plus others that I picked up the past few months on several business trips outside Calif. Let me know.

What's some cool beer they've offered in the past? Hoping to try the new DDG, though they might be a bit farfetched.

Angel's Share w/ Grapes when I attended was a very nice treat. Cable Car wasn't too shabby either.

They're typically single barrels that we get to taste. I don't think they've blended the new DDG yet so I don't see that in the cards. Maybe we'll try a possible component of DDG, but if we're tying that barrel then it means it can't be in the blend so it won't really be a component, though another barrel like it might be.
