Yes please. All of Chris' blueberry beers have been very good to great IMO.

Has anyone tried Cherry or Raspberry Anachronism yet? If you have, thoughts? I have bottles of each I haven't opened yet.

Cherry on draft was really good. Haven't had Raspberry yet, or cherry out of the bottle.

I actually preferred the non-fruited Anachronism, because I thought it was damn near perfect. The fruited ones were really good, though.

I missed out on the non-fruited Anachronism last year unfortunately because I couldn't make it to Bridgman for the pickup.....

    Today's release:
    • Intricate Simplicity- Wine Barrel Aged Sour Saison
    • Seyval Blanc Ardent- wine barrel aged mixed culture saison with Domaine Berrien grapes
    • Vacillate #8- oak aged golden sour
    • Black Currant Obelus- oak aged tart Brett saison
    • Vacillate 7- mixed fruit sour (this is husk and seed without the coffee/cascara)
    • Barrel aged grizzled- our light and funky grissete farmhouse ale aged in wine barrels for almost 18 months to add some complexity and acidity to the mix
and the details on next week's release:
    • Blueberry Anachronism- Our reason for being, Anachronism spontaneous ale, made in the lambic method, aged for 2 years in oak barrels before spending several months on local Rambo Farms Blueberries and then another couple months in bottles- this guy is rich and earthy, with bright blueberry character. Being in Bridgman, we are surrounded by blueberry farms, and they are most likely responsibly for the great yeast we have floating into our Koelschip every year. So it only makes sense to marry the two in our most special beer.

    • The Green Ghost- This mixed culture beer started life fermented in our open top oak fermenter, as most every wild beer does, but after its initial fermentation it was transferred into recently emptied barrels of Anachronism, where it spent about 8 months. After sitting in the barrels for a while we transferred it to a dry hopping tank and added Grungeist (the beers namesake- a new German hop that bridges the gap from old world Noble and new Fruity American Hops). This is an exciting beer, as it is our first use of spontaneously harvested cultures in a not 100% spontaneous beer, and it is PHENOMENAL.

2pp on Blueberry Anachronism and Green Ghost.

I wish the blueberry anachronism was on draft, grabbed the two bottles based on how much I liked the cherry version. I liked green ghost but only grabbed 1 bottle. Happy to get another Canuckley bottle!

Was like 12 back when they opened, it was one of each Bark Lord, Canuckley, Kentuckley, and Bring the Ruckley at open. Wonder what time they switched it.

I was there just before 3:00 and the limit was one of each Bark Lord, Canuckley, Kentuckley, and Bring the Ruckley. Limit two each of Blueberry Anachronism and Green Ghost.

I was also told limit one of Canuckley/Kentuckley/Ruckley, not one of each at like 12:45. Kind of a bummer.

In Grand Rapids go to either Horrock's or D. Schuler's Liquor. Last time I was at Horrock's they had bottles of Buckley, about 5-6 different sours, and probably 6 different cans. Definitely worth a stop, and if you're hungry they've got an awesome deli with soups, sandwiches, salads, and pizza. Hope you can find what you're looking for!
