Understood, and I certainly don't think my opinion is superior to anyone else's. Good point (although I'm not the person who said superior in the first place, I'm buzzed & butted in!!).

The most egregious offender of this is also a cliche: when people say, "Beer X is straight fire," and say nothing else.

Glad you liked it. Could have looked at untappd a list of ratings.

Wish anyone that says this would add some insight into exactly why - is they are going through the effort to type in into a thread on bA.

Detailed reviews are mediocre. Single phrase impressions are straight fire.

I have two More IPAs that were given to me.
Impressed enough to make the trip out there I was not.
If they were on the shelf locally I'd try them.
    Life moves on regardless.

Their every day beers are nothing to write home about. A few of the IPA's are solid and I like a few of the Falling Colors variants. I stop in about once a month mostly for the food.

It's a different story when the Henna variants are on. Those are some of the best around, though the hassle can be a bit much. I love when they randomly put one on without announcing it.

This is more inline with what I was getting at. I am sorry that I presented my opinions as fact, it was never meant to be definitive. I truly meant that I don't understand as I find their IPAs and usual beers mediocre.

The IPAs are too malty and sweet and just don't have the flavor profile I enjoy.

Frooted really isn't my type of beer but I can see how others would enjoy it if they really like strong fruited beer that is much more akin to a smoothie than a beer.

The stouts are great, I enjoy trying them at events but that is as far as I am going for them, no 4am line ups.

Most stouts are available on draft the afternoon of the release with a casual walk up to the bar. Batch 3 and Caviar were exceptions but I would recommend this to those who don’t want to lineup.

Also, they opened a beer garden/table seating yesterday which will be nice once this weekend’s hellfire passes

For me the IPA's start great but always seem to have a weird finish.

Honestly, I haven't really sat down and thought about how all of their IPA's compare to the rest of the chicagoland area. What I can say is that Dusty and DDH Dusty are :whale::whale::whale:

If that’s the case, why not just drink Naked Fuit smoothies then, maybe over some ice? I’m genuinely curious, as to my palate there’s no difference, and if you’re not drinking for the alcohol, at least go with the cheaper option.

Or a case of the fruited San Pelegrino.

When I was drinking the last two versions of Frooted I kind of found myself asking why I wasn't doing the same. Still really liked both of them and will probably try future versions of it.

I think you can break things down into 3 categories when comparing Shaun’s RAM days to now:

Fruited sours-Win- Obviously these didn’t exist at RAM but these have been a commercial and critical success so far

Stouts-Win-I think the 3 Hennas plus the BA beers have been roughly on par with the Side Notes and Chaos. The one major gripe could be that you’d have expected more than 3 non-BA stout bottle releases in a calendar year.

IPA’s-Loss- There have been good moments such as one of the DDH Loose Candies and some of the Dusty releases. Still, not sure anything has hit the highs of the Juicy releases. Is that rose-colored memories of Juicy or is it legit? I’m not sure as Juicy was one of the original hazy IPA’s in Chicago. Nonetheless, this is clearly the biggest area for growth in quality for More in year 2

Well, having at least a little alcohol is nice, along with some carbonation to keep it refreshing. The San Pelligrinos don't have nearly as much fruit flavor and have a nasty diet soda-esque taste. Also you're supporting a local place you like, and there's the novelty of getting a beer to taste like this.

I suggest more gives themselves the following slogan from miracle whip.

The quick answer is that nothing tastes the same to me. If I could make a burger exactly at home like I could get from Fudruckers, then I would never go. Alas, I cannot. Can I make a better one sometimes? Sure. But it's not the same still. Kind of like the old cliche of "your mom's cooking."

I don't mind the alcohol, of course, but getting lit off 5% alcohol beers is not my thing. It's too much volume. It gives me the feeling of drinking a lot of water when you're hot and thirsty. Just unpleasant. Drinking a New Gladus from to just enjoy (and/or relax) is great though.

I have not had these fruited beers from more or anything like it. So, if they are very dissimilar to NG (sounds like it), then I do not have an opinion on those specifically.

They literally put whole fruit into, the finished product and blend, so they are quite different than the NG beers.

I enjoy the NG fruit beers also. But it still tastes like alcohol, in the same way Sangria still tastes like wine.

The more beers (IMO) literally taste like a Jamba juice smoothie. There’s no doubt in my mind, I could give it to a 3 year old child in place of one of those pouches, and they would happily drink it down and not know the difference.

I get what they’re going for, and good for them. They made a product people enjoy.

However, it’s just something my mind can’t totally wrap itself around.

Sorry. I couldn’t edit my post to add to it, so I made a new one.

The More Beers are literally fruit purée added/blended to a base beer after fermentation, so it’s basically a carbed beer smoothie.

Most fruit beers (including NG) the fruit is added during fermentation so that the yeast eats and ferments he sugar from the fruit.
