So over the last few weeks I've not only gotten my fill of high octane brews, but also scorched my wallet quite heavily. Buying a case of FBS, multiple trips to Oxbow for 3+ growler fills each time, snagging up all the fall releases near me (Shugga' being the most recent along with Backwoods Bastard) has weighed me down. To the point, what are your favorite daytime drinkers- you know, the stuff you take out to the disc golf course (which I am heading out to momentarily), with lunch, or even after some hard labor? I've been digging Prima Pils quite a bit and I could drink Freestyle 10 day in and day out, but I want to try something new. Any recommendations?

For me a bottle of Sophie goes with any occasion or meal. If I don't have one of those available I will reach for the smooth refreshing taste of a Colt 45 Blast, strawberry lemonade flavor.

I could *almost* drink Bridgeport IPA all day. At 5.5% abv, it's on the lower end of most of the typical IPAs and it has a certain twang to it that I find irresistible.

Just look for pale ales. Sierra Nevada, Dales Pale are both great.

I find most Oktoberfests to go down pretty easy this time of year. Brown ales too. In the summer I'm a huge fan of SN summerfest as an easy drinker. I'm with you that I can't afford to drink top of the line stuff as a thirst quencher.

If I'm at home I'll usually go for some type of sour. Out on the disc golf course you could probably find me drinking Grain Belt.

Props to all of the disc golfers out there.

I play a lot, but I typically stick to lagers/pilsners. Also, I'm a one and done when I'm on the course, my own personal preference. I'm too lazy to see what's available in Maine, but I prefer OB Mama Yella Pils, New Belgium Shift, or Surly Hell. If I want to make a statement at a league which I haven't played in a lot, I might bring some Surly Furious or another IPA.

I work overnights too, so during the day I almost always enjoy something, but the key is to enjoy it (read, drink slowly) so I can justify the daytime fermented beverage.

Just about anything from Funkwerks is great daytime drinking.

Odell's IPA and St. Lupulin do the trick as well.

And, most recently, Deschutes Hop Trip has fit the bill quite well.

    My regular go-to beers are:
    1. Your favorite American IPA that you can get (for me, luckily, it's Fat Head's Head Hunter - I'm drinking one right fucking now)
    2. The best Vienna or Munich-style lager you can get. For me, it's Great Lakes Eliot Ness. I know a lot of BAs don't care for these styles, but I think they go with more kinds of food than any other style of beer. Period.

Maine? I'd go with Allagash White - I can drink that sucker with anything. Soo refreshing.

Today it was a FBS followed by a Founders Harvest Ale, then Oxbow Freestyle 10 (half a growler) then to a Sixpoint Brownstone, back to the Harvest and finished with the last of the Freestyle (other half). Too much for 45 holes in my opinion. I was actually talking about how a White would hit the spot out on the course, it just sucks it's $10 a 4pk. It will definitely be my go to next round.

DayTime I like quite a bit, but not for the $10.49 price tag accompanied by it. I just have a hard time accepting the fact that Lag (or more so our distributor) can charge that price for a "hoppy Coors Light" (not my words). White beers will definitely be my go to next time. For the record, I killed it the first 18, the second 27 didn't go so well...
