People lined up just on a whim that it would be there at open?! Cray, cray.

It still hasn't showed up here in the Western Suburbs, would of been funny to see 10-15 ppl lined up outside Oak Brook. Heck, I called the Oak Brook Binnys and they told me to try calling back at 1pm because the first beer person doesn't show up till noon!

I was at Grand yesterday and when I asked about King Sue they told me a 'very good chance' they would have it today. So maybe more people had asked and knew ahead of time.
I for sure wasn't lining up this morning though and sounds like I missed out on it. Next time!

If this has taught me anything its that Binny's new website isn't tied to Binny's in-store system anymore (which is strange since they seem to want you to order in advance or for delivery). You could tell when a beer was coming because it would show up on the website. A search for King Sue shows no results.

I agree - I think it’s been that way for a little while, at least that’s what I’ve thought for 6 months or so

Hop Nawi is awesome btw. I’ll wait for the abundant amount of King Sue next time around.

So I only had a little pour, but this batch of King Sue is pretty damn good. Hop Nawi is also awesome.

I think two weeks from now I hope that King Sue will be a lot better. Cracked my 16oz'er last night and though good, it was missing the fruitiness that balances it together that the last batch of bombers had. Perhaps it was suffering from "green" hops.

Whereas I thought the last bombers were overly bitter while these cans nicely continued the cat-pee Citra thing that SuMo also has....

Garfield's in Wicker has individual KS cans for sale at $4.99 per. Looked to be quite a few left.

Bought a 4pk in Champaign on Friday, $18.99 plus tax.

Very good, plus much better at 30 cents an ounce compared to the 59 cents an ounce in the bombers.

Like many of the DDH Sue variants lately, I thought King Sue was way to intense. Not my thing at all

So I just tried some can King Sue. I’ll preface it by saying I’ve probably had 4-5 other previous batches and it’s always been great. This batch.......no good. Total bitterness with zero citrus. Not impressed at all. Has me scratching my head how inconsistent this is compared to previous batches.

Haven’t had the King cans yet, but the latest SueMo was a disappointment too. Yet the last Fire Skulls Money was spot on. Their consistency blows.

Unless I see a pack just sitting, I’m not bothering with the King this time around. Way too many good options floating around on shelves and on tap these days.

SueMo in December was fantastic but yeah the draft I had last week was merely fine. Their scaling up was notable in that they started serving the Illinois and Massachusetts markets with Iowa TG at roughly the same time. Between the scaling up and the newer equipment, it’s pretty clear everything is wildly different batch to batch
