Looks like 90 allotments of ...Like Clockwork this Friday and Saturday each (50 cases, with first 10 customers able to max out at a case and then 3x 4 packs after)

Heading up to Smuggs this weekend from Jersey and going to do the detour to Foam. Does anyone know what the chances are of cans lasting until 12:30-1pm? TIA

Did you end up going to a Tuesday release? How was it? I'm confused how a release at 6pm would work given that they open at 11am on Tuesdays.

You have to remember, it's different for you VT people! You have so much to choose from that it isn't even funny. For us out of staters (or myself at least) it is worth a few extra bucks to get to take home some cans of foam.

As to the original question, I was at the Friday release of Pavement and The Shining a few weeks back, got there a 1/2 hour early just because I always run early, and was 7th in line. Very easy in and out and didn't seem to be any reason to get there early, though I guess that could change with any summer crowds. Still, doesn't seem like it would be an issue unless they are releasing something crazy.

Also, for those looking for other places in the area, I really enjoyed Four Quarters. Not the scenic view that Foam has but still a fun stop and plenty of beers on tap.

Last Friday's release was easy-peasy. Was about 30th in line 25 minutes to open. Beer seemed to last until at least 1PM.

Simple they wait until 6 to sell cans, giving working folks a chance to be there.

Too lazy to look right now but what's the best way to track their can releases? FB, Twitter, IG? Spending a weekend in Burlington 8/3-4 and am planning on swinging by. Don't really care too much if I get cans to go but would like to at least know if there's an option and when before going. Thanks.

The website usually has the next couple weeks of releases.

It literally would have taken less time to type in their website than to write this post...but, yes, they seem to be doing releases every Friday and Saturday so you should be able to get cans if you choose to.

hey all, random question since I've been to Foam before but it was prior to them starting to can and do releases. So apologies for a question that I'm sure is asked a fair amount but wanted to get the details on how their releases work. Do I need to get there at or near open to get cans or can I show up later? How long do they generally last? Do they just sell them at the bar inside?

I'm going to be going next saturday 8/11 and I see there is triple release @11 and wanted to ask to plan ahead. I would probably just grab some of Youth Lagoon and The Shining. Pardon my asking if it was just me I wouldn't need as much detail, but I'll have my daughter with me and wanted to get cans as easily as possible- preferably without having to queue up with a 16 month old who just wants to run around. Thanks in advance for any insight or advice!

I think you may be looking at the wrong release. They do have the Shining and Youth Lagoon on Tuesday but the Saturday release involves different beers. On the what time to get there idea, I guess that depends on how badly you want to get cans. If you want to assure yourself of cans you can get there early. I would think a 1/2 hour early would be fine. That said, you probably don't have to line up early at all, but you just never know.

Didn't see anything on social media and was on here posting already anyways. Didn't exactly do a deep dive. Sorry for inconveniencing you.

Anyway ended up going on Friday night for drinks and grabbed cans on Saturday. Really awesome spot, will definitely be back.

Quick question - is it ok to bring kids here (3 and 1)? My family is spending a week in southern VT and at the last minute my wife and I decided we should visit Burlington - we’re here now. Don’t really care about cans, just want to try a couple of brews.

Sorry if this was asked/answered - I didn’t see it earlier.

It is almost bussy but yes kids are ok. They can run around on the waterfront field right across the street or even better your wife could take them to Echo while you enjoy a few.

We went to echo today! I guess I’ll scope out the situation, but glad to know they’re ok, thanks.

If you go in the afternoon during the week I cam sure you can grab seats outside, which should be pretty kid friendly. Bring the stuff you would normally bring when going to a restaurant with them and you should be fine.

I'm going to be in Burlington early afternoon of 10/3 - any chance that cans from the 10/2 release will make it or will they likely sell out within the day? Per the website, they are releasing City Lights, The Shining and Experimental Jet Set on 10/2.

It's possible. It will be a fairly busy weekend/week in VT for prime leaf peeping.

I was there last Friday (14th) and they had 5 different kinds available. As said above, you will have higher tourism the week you are in town.

Hi all I'm headed to Foam on Saturday I understand they split the release up evenly between Friday and Saturday. With them opening at 11am what is a realistic time to hope to get cans, if I show up at 2pm is that a 0% deal? I'm going with a group so I'm not leaving as early as I would like. Thanks in advance
