Mr. stevegoz, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

    What?

Am i missing some context here?

Anti Hero and Daisy Cutter are the two staple beers of Chicago.

Personally, I'm not the biggest DC fan, and I like Anti-Hero even less (never liked it). I'm guessing some people here just aren't fans of Rev's malty style of IPA.

With that said, you're 100% correct that those are probably the two go-to craft IPAs for the city.

How could it possibly? It's one of the most (over)quoted movie lines from the last 20 or 30 years.

(I actually liked the use here, mostly because it was so over the top)

Everyone here is just having a little fun. I just got back from Ireland, and all the Irishmen there could take a harmless joke (and gave quite a few, as well).

I got real into beer exactly 2 years ago. 3 years ago I couldn’t have told you who Pipeworks or even Revolution was - but definitely knew about Half Acre. It’s in just about any place that sells beer except maybe 7-11’s

Rev is probably larger, but Daisy Cutter is probably more ubiquitous.

    7-11 definitely sells Half Acre.

We’re just having some fun. It’s just like saying

DAMN DAMN DAMN. Can't make Big North this year; shit.
I shall have to satisfy my requirements by vulturing the Lincoln tap room several times in mid-August... as close as I could come to that BN date by visiting relatives in PA with a long layover in CHI. Boo. and Yay.

Has anyone made it to the Balmoral location for any World Cup games, particularly weekend games starting before normal business hours? Just curious how the atmosphere has been.

Has it been overly crowded, pretty small turnout, or in between? Hopefully, there's enough people to create a fun atmosphere, but not so many you have to arrive at the crack of dawn to get a seat/decent viewing spot (ie The Globe Pub).

Also, do they have a decent tv setup/sports viewing situation?

Just curious as I've been meaning to catch a game there. Wish I would have known about submitting a bracket for a free pint, but oh well!

I was there on Saturday for the first half of the Russia-Croatia game. I went there with my wife and 2 kids, so the atmosphere was by no means rowdy. We were able to get a table, but it was one of the last ones (we probably arrived 15 minutes before the game started). At no point did it ever get too crowded - some people were sitting at the high chairs over by the bread/kitchen, but that's it. This was all helped by the good weather and many people sitting outside.

So, I would say it was in between in terms of the crowd. It was pretty relaxed - there were clearly some people there to watch the game and others that seemed indifferent to it. They have a few TVs, but not enough to where you can see them from every seat.

Normally I'd criticize that, but the 14 in front of it 1) are not beers I've tried, and 2) aren't just the usual suspects (Alchemist, HF, Treehouse...there's 1 Trillium beer in there), so I guess I can't get that salty.

I'm always happy for BHA to get more good word of mouth; maybe at some point we'll convince HA that it should be a year-round.

I really enjoyed BHA when I grabbed a draft a month-ish ago. Though, after reading this thread, I guess, previous BHA batches were 10x better. Probably would've won the taste test.

However, this forum always seems to say XYZ batch 2 years ago was better
