Poll: Which image hosting site do you use?

I did not see your original post. Yes, this is not good for me. What is interesting is that I looked at the site and don't see anything mentioning this, it appears only in their blog? That is pretty shady business to me, I would have thought a notice would hit to all users indicating this change, I had no clue as to the ad program and paid service, looks like time to change again, I won't pay for storing pics. I sure hope BA sees all this and soon allows its users to utilized an in-house picture option since we all seem to be running into issues with 3rd party pic hosting sites. Thanks for info.

 

Well I just signed up for Imgur. Takes a few min to figure out, having minor issue with the drag and drop to work, seems very picky, otherwise looks ok. I set to private as others indicated. So this is an ad free site I hope, 3rd change now lol.

 

In their defense, the reason they're not touting the change is that it's on hold and I did find the information quite easily, so they're not hiding it. Can't blame them - a free ad-free service is not a sustainable business model. No free lunch. I'm paying for an image hosting cloud service, and using it to back up our family pictures also. I should be using it for more.

 

Had used Photobucket but when that stopped working I moved to Postimage.org. It's free and I don't even need to have an account to use.

 

Read a few posts back. Postimage says they are going paid unless you want ads, which will likely be blocked by sites with ads.

 

That's a bit of a bummer. I guess time to find another site to use.

How do ads come into the picture if just linking an uploaded picture? Isn't their advertising going on with the site already? I usually see commercials playing while I await uploads.

 

I had presumed ads would appear at the edges of images that are linked, but I may be wrong. If ads don't appear when linked, should be usable.

 

If it's like Photobucket was, then the ads are just on your end when you upload the photos and grab the link (and they had a crazy amount of popups to contend with). But the link here on BA was unaffected.

 

Anyone having issues with Imgur? Trying to upload today and its not working at all right now? Curious if this is being seen by others today?

 

TinyPic has gone to shit. I get so many weird popups and spam because of it.

 

It's not just you. I'm enjoying some beer tonight, I just can't upload the pics.

 

It just popped up now, I was able to load a pic. LOL what a pain in the A**. Wish Ba would just imbed an uploader or partner with a company so we can simplify this stuff.

I thought for a min we were going to get the time to pay or cannot use game like photocrap did to a lot of us. Glad to see it is back up

Yes, BA please make this site able to load a simple pic from my phone (without having access to all of them) shit is way too complicated for me

 

Sadly you are 100% on this, it is just a matter of time till we all get the email asking us to upgrade LOL.
